That was a good video. I was introduced to him watching the McCreary Champion of Champions event.
When I watched it live and on the YouTube replay, I thought it was a foul. But after carefully watching the Caudron video, it seems super clear he hit the ball first. Both balls had speed on them and left in about the same direction, and the CB had no spin on it. Just like Caudron showed would happen on a ball first contact.
With Filler being so dominant he should give Snooker a go. He would be fuggging rich if he dominated that.
There’s a new interview with Karl and Emily I’m watching now on YouTube. Every poster on the background shows DAZN. I really wonder what happened.

As with the fun debate about Snooker players playing pool well, the other way round is even harder.
Sure I would like to see Filler have a go, but he has no chance of dominating Snooker.

Maybe he read my post in the "Banned- Darren Appleton...." thread lol. Like I said, he's the best player on the planet and probably will be for quite a while. If he becomes humble too he will win more fans and the respect of his peers. Good job Josh!

She did miss the point though about why people are making a fuss about Darren.
Which is, Matchroom decided to let WPA run disciplinary action.
So, their decision should have been the end of it.
No need to double dip on the punishment, Snooker does not do that as do many other sports.
Darren accepted the WPA ruling, she said he could appeal but didn't and it speaks volumes...
Again, he accepted WPA decision. It was the Matchroom add ons he has an issue with and cannot appeal that.
She made it sound like it was one decision with right to appeal, when that is not the case.
Matchroom is great but I have to think the US market is not part of their business plan. It seemed a non event that DAZN fails almost every tournament and Matchroom has to give away their product on Facebook to US customers instead of collecting streaming revenue.
Maybe only 200 of us in the United States tried to watch it?

My thoughts:
indeterminate split hit, player's call.
On this particular shot, ball contact is instantly verifiable. It moved, it got hit. Coincident and simultaneous to this, the ball apparently hit the cushion. The CUSHion contact cannot be placed in chronological reference to the object ball contact. AND
in freeze frame, the cue ball appears to pick up rail induced spin AFTER the object ball moves. Call to the player.

If it's her tournament, she can impose whatever sanctions she deems fit for a violation of her rules, wouldn't you think? WPA is a separate entity, isn't it? I think she might have mentioned the denial of the appeal as a means of justifying her actions, because in her mind it proved he was admitting fault.
I don't get the complaining. I feel for Darren, and Emily obviously does too. Without consequences, things get messy.
