Nite and weekend project

Full splice??????????????

Where are the full splice guru's that live here? What would Dale call it? Two different pieces of wood joined with long tapered prongs. Its spliced regardless of what cutting method was used. There are band saw, table saw, radial arm saw techniques to achieve a splice and obviously others, so the method of cutting is not a part of the nomenclature of a full splice. The term "traditional construction" is because there were no other methods available then. A three point full splice constructed the "traditional" way is near impossible if not totally. You are correct, "most dont understand what theyre looking at or how its done... " Regardless of what its called, this cue is like NO OTHER and deserves recognition for outstanding design and construction.

I am not sure how or why this cue is so unique, but when my friend John Nemic
my personal cue guru and a true mechanical engineer gets excited and talks this way, then i know that we are looking at something special

i am sure this deserves cue of the year, congratulations on your work

well it sure seemed to matter.... when he called "bullshit" on somebody else.

i dont think anyone didnt recognize the cool design it is.

'Tis true. Its a very cool, very original design. It was a tough choice for me between this cue and the Mobley which I also love.

I absolutely agree that this cue is beautiful and unique and I have nothing but the highest praise for what Jake has done here.

That being said isn't a full splice when you take two pieces of wood and join them by an overlapping method be it pronged or butterfly? If that is what was done here then yes it is a full splice if not then it is a short splice.

Deserves another look and reminder why this is cue of the year!! Absolutely stunnnnnnnnnning!
