"No Matter How Small"- a children's book about pool

Hi, My name is Tina Hou.
I have been played pool (APA) since 2003.

I have been working on a children's book on and off since 2009.
This book has been a dream of mine for a long time.
I merged my two passions, pool and art, to tell a fun story.

Now I am moving forward and putting this project on Kickstarter to understand public interests and seek for backers to support launching this book.

Now I have 99 backers, 9 days to go. 19% to reach the goal!

Anything that gets young people interested in pool is a great thing
 
Seems Kickstarter makes you do the transaction though Amazon which does not take PayPal. That's a bit closed.

Really cool, Tina. I wish you the best of luck with your project and am sorry I cannot contribute to it.

I also found out that my grandfather was a pool fan, well after I was up to my ears in the game.

Come on guys and gals. Tina is a very good friend of mine and she's worked very hard on her dream childrens book. Also I can hardly wait to give one to my grandson. Help her out please.....Rick Trembley.

After the book got funded and printed, I am planning to donate some copies to libraries and children's hospital. With family and friends' help, the book will reach out to some non-profit organizations in Taiwan, Philippine and India. (Actually, in India, they have a board game called "Carrom". It is a "strike and pocket" table game, very similar to billiards.) :wink:

Pool is a very intelligent game. It isn't limited by the physical body type. I want to introduce pool to children through a fun story and a positive attitude. :smile:

You should get a few copies to the BEF as well. These are some of the kids from my son's junior league, many go to the Jr National tournament put on by the BEF.

Could this change the world's perspective on pool? It is definatly a start. I will donate after the 15.
 
Such a worthy project

This is such a worthy Kickstarter project that could really use our support in the next couple of days. My good friend Tina Hou is the artist/author of this very well done children's book about a little girl who wants to shoot pool... The lessons apply to us all, so please check it out. Thanks!

Great book, I hope to get into my Dad's classroom. He teaches fourth grade, so that might be the right age range...

As long as this book doesn't touch on CTE or TOI, I think it'll be a success. ;)
