No Open for me this year I guess

Although the Dr's have given me the ok to travel, their bills are just to high to do both. My vascular surgeon is going to wait until after the holidays before cutting me and cleaning out my left carotid artery. After having several cardiac tests and MRI's done it appears that I have had TIA;s, LVH (that 1 you will have to google) they are hoping medication will fix it. and last but not least they say the tests show an Aortic Regurghatation. apparently a valve is not closing after the heart pumps the blood. Thus some blood is going back into the heart. I am not looking for sympathy as i realize now that I took care of my wife before her passing and neglected my own health. I will miss everybody from both here and the CCB on billiards digest. will be my 1st miss in about 25 years or so. I will be thinking about everybody and everybody have fun and good luck and be safe......................mike....:(:(:(

Here's hoping that the medicine fixes the problem. Maybe you can check out the Livestream for the Open. I believe Accu-Stats will be there and perhaps you can still get the Open "fix".

Although we have not seen each other in gosh, a decade? :) my thoughts are with you, take care of yourself to get back in kicking butt form.

Wow.. how can you forget that?


It's been 5 years since my last visit to the open. I still remember the 1st CCB tournament in Q-Master's tournament room, the Hurricane tournament with no lights.

Mike, hang in there buddy, if not this year, maybe we will all celebrate the
40th anniversary...sound like a deal?
