No Shows & Forfits 2025 US Open 9-Ball

Does anyone know how many no shows or forfits were issued in the first err round? And how many were turned away due to full field but could have filled these spots?

My opinion they should be penalized if they did contact the tournment by Saturdar. With a limited field of 128 there should be sanctions for noshow unless they have Very good cause.
 
Pool players must not be broke if they can afford a 1k entry and then miss their first match.
 
Subject to check, some of the so-called "forfeits" may be previous U.S. Open winners who have a place reserved for them on the roster.

Quan (Barry delayed payment and only paid him earlier this year. Other Vietnamese players showed up so not sure why he forfeited)

Ray Hansen: Jeremy was NOT a no show. He was never signed up. This must have something to do with Barry getting to show the free entries as added money to qualify for WPA Points event. It's really unfortunate since there were "paying" entrants that would have filled that spot.

Jeremy Jones: Just FYI, wasn't at the open because having surgery tomorrow to repair my hand. And I did not register for the event. I'm upset not at the open and hope the event goes great! Good luck Darren Appleton and wish was there to give you a match!! And good luck to all the other players!!
 
Quan Do my country man was sick after the long flight from VN. he will be recovered for the next match
