No Ultimate Bar Fighting Champion?

Well, since my polls were taken down I guess we won't have a legitimate winner of the first anual AZ billiards ultimate bar fighting championship. It seems that the popular choice was Danny Diliberto, but I will still stick with my boy Brian White. I think that he would most definitely mop the floor with anyone in a bar brawl. Anyway, I guess I'll just keep the championship belt and wear it to tournaments and dare anyone to take it from me.

Scotty Townsend would kick Diliberto's a$$!..and as far as Brian White goes,Big-Arm John would easily stick a Pot Knot on his head as big as all of Texas..don't worry 'bout it.:D
 
Scotty Townsend is one of those silent kind of guys, but I hear he's a real scrapper if need be. He'd be a nice guy to have in your corner if you found yourself in a tough spot! :p

Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant is just plain strong, not only in pool, but in strength. Rumor has it that he was arm-wrestling one time and the other guy's arm broke. Word to the wise would be never to arm-wrestle him, and if you play him some pool, you better bring your A game to the table. When it comes to gambling, he takes no prisoners! :cool:

My vote for the all-time Bar-Fighting Champion would have to go for Dennis Hatch. From everything that I have been told, he is one tough cookie. I mean, just the size of this guy is enough to scare you if he was angry. Since I have seen Dennis in recent times, he seems more of a gentle giant today. Having said that, though, he's one guy I would not want mad at me! :o

danny is in his 70s he was a pro fighter for angelo dunde ,when he was early 60s i saw him hit a few people some playing some not,he was the real deal.i worked at the old golden eightball with him ,i was a bouncer he was always willing to help if needed , in his prime or maybee even a little out of his prime he would put to sleep any of the people you mentioned , if you could have seen what i saw you would agree,dennis was groomed by his dad when young to be a boxer but he gave it up ,im sure he can still unleash a few blows,danny can still cut a few lose you would be very surprized by a man in his 70s later BIG Tim

Like I already said and VooDoo Daddy concurred ask any of the people you named or anybody else has named on this subject if they would f*** with Rodney from Hollywood. Your guaranteed answer "hell no" and like Stone Cold says " and thats the bottom line"

I know these things;
Scotty is a scraper, from stories over the years
Danny was a scraper, from personal accounts, stories from friends of his
Dennis was a boxer, seen him train with my own eyes when he was really 14
Hillbilly looks strong, dont need to told that...look at the man!!

10/15 years ago I woulda fought em all. These days bad knees and degenerative bone disease has gotten the best of me. I mean all of them...EXCEPT HOT ROD!!!

Voodoo~~~6'5" 375lbs, retired wrestler/bouncer. Now just a middle-ager with fond memories, a limp and plenty of scars :D

I've played in a couple of matches and he is a big boy. If he gets mad at me, he will be swinging at me ass!!
 
I saw Hillbilly break the arm of a guy about 1/2 again bigger than him at the Derby a few years ago, the guy was wolfing at him for 2 hours and finaly put up 500 beans. Hillbilly pulled once and snapped the guys arm in the middle not the joint and it made him sick. Hillbilly paid the emergency room bill and the ambulance and told me he would never armwrestle again as it hurt him so bad mentally.--Leonard
 
Golden Gloves

Dennis is a "GOLDEN GLOVES" champ. He had a chance to go pro.......but..........things happen...........
 
Danny D. was a top pro fighter and in his day could tangle with anyone. He's a little aged now though.

Probably the most dangerous guy if you ever got him mad would have been Mike Massey. He had almost superhuman strength, much more powerful than Charlie Bryant or almost any man anywhere. That's why they called him The Tennessee Tarzan.

Mike knew his strength and was a gentle man, but I feel very sorry for anyone who incurred his wrath. He is still an impressive brute at nearly 60 years of age.

Pound for pound in a barroom brawl I'd have to take Bakersfield Bobby. Hardened by years of working in the fields as a young man, and toughened up from countless bar fights, he was one tough dude. Scotty would have been in big trouble if he ever crossed swords with Bobby. But they're the kind of guys who would have kept it all on the pool table.

How about his one-armed push ups? He did a show in Miami in the late 70's. The woman that opened the room got him to come down...he shot trick shots, did som one arm push ups and sang a song at the end...he had and still has incredible hand strength.

The story about how he slammed Charlie the Ape to the ground has become somewhat of a legend around L.A.. I heard the story more than once, from more than one person (only some of whom were actually there).
