When I heard that we will be playing on diamond tables this may, I could hardly wait to play. whats not to like. Responsive rails. Normal cue ball. A table that plays fast and tight. Even though it is a small, small table, it is a table that requires the player to have some small, meager amount of ball pocketing skills...well, so much for that fairy tale.
A couple of fellow pool players came back from the 9-ball bca tourney in oct with news that the pockets of the diamonds are now buckets and not just any buckets they are huge, wide gaping monsters(like the valleys were), instead of the pro-cut pockets. Apparently a lot of players in the _ _ _ complained and the _ _ _ league threatened w/their contract if something was not done to fix the problem of these tables, that were spitting balls out left and rignt. God forbid some(enter skill level) handicapped league player hits the rail a good foot and a half in front of the pocket and have the ball not go in.
All in all I'm just a little
discouraged that this change has been made to these tables. I'm not even remotley close to being as excited about the may bca tourney as I was a few weeks ago.
Just wanted to get that out of my system and see what other people thought.
