Does a story like this offend you from a personal perspective? Is there someone you know, or care about, who's disabled and confined to a wheelchair, or, do you personally know someone who got nailed by a sailor while hanging from a tree limb?
How about being a little more specific and I'll try to accommodate you.

A guy up here, David Milgaard, did 23 years in prison before DNA cleared him....
...the man who actually did the rape/murder was the one who turned David in for a reward.

Soooo, he was awarded ten million dollars compensation for the 23 years.
....so we can work this out, Jaden....we'll prorate it.

The actual rapist had to pay him $10 million, or did the state just rob some more folks to cover for the state's original mistake/crime?
