Well here's Dennis at it again, making his sponsor proud.

Ok, so i started this since most don't view (I think) the What a Match thread and to be honest I kind of wanted to discuss a few other thing, also did feel like this quite fit the what a match title.
So here are some of the things that I saw and wanted to see what the 3 people that comment felt.
1) This kid having an exceptionally long pause in his back swing was the first thing i saw
2) Mostly but not always (not sure if cut angle or camera angle played a part) but he also has and exceptionally big body shift that you can notice on his shots. This made me wonder what aiming systems he was using. Not that i'm interested, it's not like that, I was just curious.
3) I found it funny (from playing 14.1 mostly) that I can tell exactly when the shift in the match came that resulted in me loosing and I think it came in the 4th or 5th rack for this kid when he dogs it and scratches on the 9 ball
4) I do actually like how this kid plays. I've never seen it other than when watching Ralf shoot (guess that's why he's my favorite player) but one of my mentors told me "you need to let go and just see what happens, you're try/approaching the game in a calculated manner and that's not how it works, there is no exact science for playing, you can say if I do this, this and this then i'll get here or this will happen, you have to feel it most of the times". But I feel like this kid shoots with a higher level of calculations that most, and l like that.
5) I have observed (now about this in a sensible manner) that more times than not the better player "at least on paper" wins when you least expect, no matter how good the "so called" underdog is playing he usually finds a way or there's always that one thing that he does to turn the tides and this lets said player back in to the match and next thing you know the underdog looses.

Well, you don't have to get into all the other stuff just wanted to point out the guys pause.

Lastly for those viewing this who may of heard of Mike Wong and not seen him play this kid shoot at twice as fast as he does, so you can just imagine.

Strange post!
You start talking about a kid and other thread, full of videos. You don't say the name of the kid until the last line of you post, and I return to the "What a match" thread and don't see any mention to Mike Wong. Did I miss something? I have lost 10 minutes of my life trying to figure out who and what match are you talking about.

Mike Wong is a slow (but pretty good) player from the NYC area. "This kid" the OP is talking about is someone else.

what does his sponsor have to do with this ?? "make his sponsor proud" ??

They have an acronym for this when folks in a seniors' community submit bizarre, disjointed posts to their homeowners' websites:

It's called TWD . . . . typing while drunk.

Just rambling making no sense

so why even comment, just read and leave. or does your IQ tell you that if you enter a thread then you have to comment or you'll be stuck in it for ever? i really don't get you guys.

We're just having a bit of fun, don't take it personally.

I like the pause, seems like you'd be more accurate. I find that if I rush from backstroke into forestroke it's never a good thing. It's the same with the golf swing.

Mika has mastered that instant transition very well. I like the pause also but men his seems extra long, that might be the point where i start to doubt myself, lol

Lol. I was, of course, referring to the square stance, stepping into the shot, 4points of contact with the cue, and piston stroke with the pause. Looks like good snooker fundamentals to me. I noticed the pivot though. He seems to have a huge pivot at times. There was one shot in the few minutes I watched where I was wondering WTH he was aiming at, then he pivoted in. Very noticeable.

pepper that's the same thing I said, it totally blew my mind and that's why I posted it and asked the question about aiming system cause I don't know of any that has that drastic of a shift.
