Im looking to get a new shaft could somebody that has one of these shafts please give me some feedback on the HIT thanks alot!!!

Do you like a larger tip diameter or smaller? That will narrow it down for two or make you decision if you like a smaller diameter. They all "hit" good IMO

I have a couple Tiger X shafts that I really like. I've tried an OB before a while ago and for some reason didn't warm to it (only played with it for an hour or so). The Tiger shafts have great feel and seem to be very consistent. Haven't played much with any other types of premium shafts to offer much comparison but I definitely enjoy mine.

I prefer the OB-1 over the OB-2. I didn't think I would like the OB2 over the OB1, but I fell in love with the OB2 - the hit, the way it played and the way it feels in my hands.

Well here is the comparison:
Both shafts are great quality, never had a tiger x to warp. and ive got the old tiger x and the ultra. the ob-1 that i had was also dead nuts straight.
Both shafts have a great taper.
The ob hit is soft due to the dampening core this is what i liked most about the ob
But what i didnt like was it was whippy and it throwed the ball more than the Tiger. But i could get some wicked draw with the ob.
The Tiger has a solid hit with more of ping to it. It doesnt throw the ball as much.
Seems like its easier to control whitey with the Tiger{Whitey is scared of the Tiger}. And I bank alot and prefer the stiffer hit of the Tiger.
Hope this helps:grin:

Tiger Ultra X

Tiger Ultra X for sure. Best shaft around. Hits great and great quality.

I got one for sale, $150 3/8 10 (no collar, goes great with a sneaky pete). Let me know if you are interested.

Oh yea, comes standard with a Sniper tip, also the best around.

You find the OB2 whippy? For sure the OB1 but I thought the OB2 has a much stiffer taper. Did you ever try the 314 Fat shaft or the OB Break shaft and if so did you like them?

whups i forgot about that one. i tried an ob2 but it was a 30" model though. it wasn't really too whippy it was just too long and i prefer shafts above 12.5mm

out of all the shafts listed i'd probably pick up a 13mm tiger x shaft or a ob break shaft

me, me, me and me.

No matter how we choice, if we can not pot ball then............it's real not about the cue. lol, lol.

cheers

actually i know a few people that use hi tech shafts that shoot pretty well. some people just prefer compensating for deflection less

You'd need to pick up one on the secondary market as 13mm shafts are no longer available with the inception of the Tiger "X" Ultra Shaft (12.75mm).

Le Tigre (Tiger X-Ultra) is the way to go. I have been using an X-Shaft for 6-7 years now. :thumbup2:

why don't you guys offer the 13mm's anymore?

Essentially market demand, and our production capability made it so.

A 13mm can be done; however if would be deemed as "custom" and charged accordingly. Also, you would only be able to get this from us directly or a custom cuemaker going from a "blank" stage.

You see that's the kind of talk i like to hear. all things are possible for the right price!!!!!!!!!

It really depends on what you are looking for. The Tiger is an excellent shaft made by excellent people.

Let me tell you what the choices are for OB Shafts and you can decide:

OB-1 12.75mm 16" modified pro taper, Everest tip by Tiger.
Really low cue ball squirt or deflection. Solid hit with excellent spin. It is also a rather quiet hit. Available in 13mm for no additional charge.

OB-2 11.75mm 16" modified conical taper, Everest tip by Tiger.
Even lower cue ball squirt or deflection. Solid hit with excellent spin. This cue shaft makes a little more sound than the OB-1, and hits a little harder. The shaft is also stiffer, even though it is smaller. It has a smaller core through the center which make it stiffer.

OB Break Shaft 13mm Pro taper thickened up a little for the break.
A little more cue ball squirt than the OB-1, but still well below almost all others on the market. This shaft is stiff! One of the guys in my shop use this as his player and he loves it! We can just put a different tip on it for you, at no additional charge.

All OB Shafts use our exclusive SR-6 construction. See our website for more details, www.obcues.com. We stand behind our products 100% with a lifetime warranty that includes our ferrules!

There is another thread where 2 casemakers are beating each other to death. I am just happy that OB Cues and Tiger Products can provide positive selling points about our products without bashing each other. I have the utmost respect for Tiger Products!
