OB Classic Pro...Scam or real?

Hello fellow AZ'ers,
I was planning on purchasing an OB cue, in particular one with an Ob classic pro shaft.
The price on ozonebilliard.com was a little too steep for me and then I came across this

http://www.ebay.com/itm/350917925308?redirect=mobile

Will the different Players butt affect the playability of the Ob shaft or will it be better to just buy the complete Ob cue? The price seems too good to be true but I just wanted to find out about the authenticity of the shaft and if I should buy it or not. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Item is deleted already, yikes!

The price? Its an auction with 5 days to go.

The seller is a respected member here at AZ and is as straight as a string. If he says its an OB Pro then its a OB Pro.

Looks legit. Will probably end well north of $100. From a very reputable AZ seller.

Thanks guy, I've never bought from eBay so I wasn't sure, I've heard of people getting ripped off before, but thanks for validating the sellers credibility. As far as the different butt goes, will it make a difference compared to playing with an OB butt?

I don't think it will be a big difference. I have a Player's HXTE10 (HXT shaft) and an OB121 with OB1 and Classic shaft. The biggest difference is wrap (Player's) vs. wrapless (OB121). I prefer the wrapless but I didn't know that when I bought the Player's (new to pool and still discovering what I like).

The auction is mine. Everything is legit with the cue butt and the shaft. Good luck and have fun bidding.

Makes no diff imho. I have OB shafts on three diff cues makers They all weigh the same, and all have diff wraps... linen, leather, and wrapless. They all play the same just depends on the temp which I choose... cause of the wraps....

PS: looks like a great deal if you get under $350, and if it's a lot lower than that, you will be getting a great deal :)

I use an OB Classic Pro with an old Brunswick shaft. It plays fine. Don't overthink it...
think you could pass a blindfold pepsi challenge between 2 different brand butts attached to the same shaft?

Unless there's a defect in the shaft like it's starting to come apart, the price is good for the shaft alone.
Toss the butt if you don't like it and you still got a good deal.

hit will be slightly different but I doubt that it will make a difference in your game, so bid with confidence!

Things to Note.

When buying ONLINE,

Note the price of the shipping as well, sometimes sellers jack up the shipping prices from what they would normally pay. E.g. shipping cost 20 USD to them, but its stated 50 USD, which gives them additional 30 USD profit. (some of them know to do it)

And also, note the condition of the shaft and butt, sometimes its too late to feedback or refund when u get a defected good.

But seeing that the actioner is HERE!!!

I doubt there will be any problem with this one... LEGITz

Butt:shaft weight balance

Thanks again to everyone that replied, but I'm still a little conflicted because I've been reading other posts saying how important the right butt is because of weight distribution and balance between the shaft and butt. How do I know if the balance points are correct? It says the shaft weighs 4.10oz and the butt weighs 16.30oz. Also it has a 5/16-18 flat faced joint if that matters.

No way to know if you'll be happy with the balance unless you try it.
It's always a gamble buying a cue when you never hit a ball with it.
But I don't expect it to feel weird unless you are not used to 20+ ounce cues.
It's still a great deal even if you hate the balance, the shaft alone is $220 new.
You're getting the shaft at around 1/3rd the usual price.
