OB Gold Winners Announced

We now have drawn the winners for our January OB Cue Gold Giveaway! These OB Cues and shafts are all made in the USA (Plano, Texas) and are created from blank to finish all under the same roof.

This month our First Place Winner is Veteran68. Veteran will receive the new OB-160 Spectre Cue. The OB-160 Spectre pool cue features a birdseye maple forearm with 4 very long and very sharp infinity inlay cocobolo points, an irish linen wrap and a cocobolo sleeve. This cue also has a Straight Line Core (SLC). The SLC construction guarantees a cue that is straighter, stronger, more stable and stiffer. This means that your cue will be built straight, stay straight and hit great.

This cue also has a Centralized Balance System. This means that weight has been placed in very specific locations throughout the butt of the cue to create an evenly balanced cue with feedback that is both crisp and lively. It really has to be felt to be appreciated. Custom feel in a production cue!

Every new OB Cue comes with your choice of either an OB-1+, OB-2+, OB Classic+, OB Pro+, OB-XL+ or OB-XL Classic+ shaft. If you are not sure which shaft to choose then you can find out more about OB shafts and the differences between each one HERE

This cue has a modified 3/8 X 10 wood to wood joint, an Everest Tip and is 58 inches long.

Our Second Place winner, EndoftheLine, will receive the OB Rift Rubber Grip Break Cue. The Rift features a Midnight Blue handle built using our straight line core (SLC) technology, your Choice of either the Speed Break or Control Break Shaft, and your choice of either the rubber grip or no wrap.

The Speed Break shaft at 13.25mm has a white linen melamine ferrule and a very hard phenolic tip while the Control Break shaft is 13mm with the OB laminated maple ferrule and a hard Samsara leather tip.

Our third-fifth place winners are: One Pocket John, Rico, and jsaxman. Third through Fifth place winners all get their choice of any of the fine OB Shafts which OB will finish to match your cue. Learn all about these shafts at www.OBCues.com. Your choices include:

Jerry, hope you don't mind a little "hijacking". But the first 5 folks that posted above my post after Jerry get the "unofficial" consolation prize.

FREE CHALK.

PM me your address and I will send a box. Hey, it's not much, but it's better than a sharp stick in the eye ;)

Gold winner

Darn i just bought the chalk and was a winner of a shaft as a 3rd thru 5th . Did i get chalked? P.S. I have to say i do believe so far the magic chalk is maybe winning me over.

I just had to post to brag on OB Cue's customer service. It sure seems to be worthy of its reputation! Shane, President of OB, emailed me for my desired weight and shaft for the OB-160 I won. I sheepishly asked him, since I like a longer cue, if it would be possible to get a 30" shaft, and said I'd be happy to pay any upcharge. And if not, that was fine, just thought I'd ask.

Today he replied that a 30" shaft was no problem, but being a custom order it would take up to 4 weeks. I told him that was fine, but a few minutes later I get a shipping notification with tracking. I emailed Shane back, surprised at the quick shipping for the custom shaft, and figuring they were shipping the standard 29" shaft. Shane said it was in fact a mistake, they didn't get the 30" shaft on the order in time, but he could stop the shipment if I wanted to wait for the longer shaft. I did. But then just a short time later he emailed that they were custom fitting a 30" shaft to the cue today and it would still ship out today. Sure enough I received tracking info about an hour later!

That's pretty impressive service especially for someone getting a free promotional cue. I felt kinda bad for the extra trouble, but Shane was extremely nice and accommodating. While I've not been in the market for a production cue in awhile, and I've yet to shoot with this one, if I ever do buy another or refer someone, I expect OB Cues will be at the top of my list!

That's exceptional service in an industry known for long waits. Congrats on the win and the service.

great customer service

First i want to thank AZ for the drawing and OB for their generosity .I talked to Shane and 1 hr later a message says order complete. Wow ,ordered a 5/16 18 to put on a old CP , i dont play with an LD shaft but ill hit a few just to try (Classic plus) .Might start my grandson on it right from the start.Again thanks AZ and OB.

Got my OB-160 with 30" shaft today! I've only hit a few balls with it, but it hits well. It actually seems to draw better than my Jacoby with 12mm Hybrid Edge shaft. The coco points look very sharp and the stitch rings are nice. Never been a fan of pressed linen so that takes some getting used to, but a very nice cue overall. This will definitely replace my 30 year old Meucci 88-4 as my backup shooter. I'll probably shoot this week's league session with it, who knows it might replace my Jacoby as my primary while I wait on my new Lomax. :)

Thanks again to AzB and OB for the promotion!

I really love the simple, clean look on all of their cues.
