The problem is that you can't get over the fact that your Meucci is a peice of dog dung. You were insulted that someone made a joke about it and now you're looking for ways to vindicate yourself. This has included challenging me to a game of 9-ball, although you yourself are not doing the playing. I wonder why???
It also includes inviting us to the Meucci factory to discuss cuebuilding with the "factory workers". Allllrighty then! I would welcome that opportunity. No one said anything about them NOT KNOWING how to build good cues. We said they DIDN"T build good cues. Big difference. Just becasue someone knows how todo something right, it doesn't mean they actually do it.
I'm sure the workers at Meucci are subject to all kinds of limitations at their jobs just like everyone else. The factory TELLS them how to do things because of specific limitations such as time and cost of materials. It seems like you know nothing about how a business is run. It's all about how much it costs to run the operation vs what the return is. If Meucci built their cues like any of the custom makers they would be out of business in a month. The cost of the better materials alone would bankrupt them.
So as Jensen Lover suggested, step away from the computer. Take a deep breath and relax. You got all pissed off over a joke. Come on man, get a grip. Stop acting like a girl that got felt up at the drive in........
Now go ahead and take that deep breath, I'll wait.........................................................................................................................................................................................
Ok, feeling better now???
Ok Good. Now, whenever you're ready to take on a challenge by yourself without having to have everyone else fight your battles for you, I'd be interested in seeing how you handle it.
I'll be at the SBE in Valley Forge in March. You let me know when, and I'll meet you in the green room for a good 'ol fashioned beat down! Then you can show me how great that POS Meucci is. LOL!!!!! Or bring your "local pro". And tell him to bring his broom stick.
And one last thing, don't just assume that I (or anyone else for that matter) doesn't have a clue. I've owned cues worth more than your car and don't think for a minute that I would just rush out and buy something like that without knowing all the details about it such as how it's made and why it's better than your Meucci.
I have had hundreds of conversations with real cuemakers regarding cue building. This has allowed me to gain a vast knowledge of how they are made both the right way and the wrong way. I understand why things are done in a certain way. I.E., why many cue makers now core their forarms. I understand how it's done and why. Maybe you should take some time to visit a real cue maker in your area and ask a lot of questions. You may actually learn something.
