It is not your fault.Your posts were civil and your intentions good. This situation is no reflection on you.

I agree with Brian, Blackjack has been great, to bad it was wasted on a person such as Eddie.
Rep to you Blackjack!

Wheat not including tracking info is worse than saying here Charlie, "X" might just mark the spot

The cue just arrived! UPS. No partial payment was enclosed... but that's OK, all I ever wanted was what I paid for to start with.

I looked the cue over and checked the specs; 13mm and 19 oz., ivory ferrules, balance point is 19.25'' from the rear. That's what I wanted. But the cue is not 58''. It's 59.3'' long. The butt is 29'' and the shafts are 30.3'' long. Since I intend to sell the cue, the buyer will know exactly what they are getting.

The butt and both shafts are straight, when rolled separately and together.

The finish is good. The fit is excellent. Nice clean point/veneer work.

Since I hopefully will be selling it I test hit with one shaft to make sure it was solid. HIT is so subjective and personal I won't even try to describe it. I'll just say, IMO, the cue hits great. There's not much left to be desired there. It is a very, very good hitter. I was actually surprised. If this cue was 58'' I'd be strongly considering keeping it!

Now this ordeal is over for me. I'm very thankful for that.

Congratulations Mr. Edwards! I have learned much from reading your posts regarding this situation.
Best regards,

Brian

Very nice post, and very civil under the circumstances. My only question is since the cue was delivered by Carrier Pigeon, what kind of condition was the Shipping box in!!!!!!!!:D

Take Care, I glad things worked out, hopefully you will have no problem selling the cue.

Good to hear Charlie, glad it made it. To bad it wasn't to your 'exact' specs as he advertised it. Just out of curiosity, was it sent priority as stated?

It is a easy fix to cut off the tip & ferrule and put a new one on.
That would shorten it an inch. (or more)
It will stiffen up the shaft and might "hit" even better.

I bet Eddie would be willing to do that for ya. ...

when on ones hands/knees chasing popcorn
on the floor to load in the pipe, one tends
to forget about any timeline, especially
rational obligations like shipping a package.

BTW: Charlie, you may want to raffle that cue
here on AZB, and I'm certain you will get many
here willing to participate just because of your
ordeal.

I have one person that's interested. If that falls through I think I will just keep it and learn to play with the extra length. This is a super hitting cue, really.

Good deal!!!!!!!!

Well thats great. I'm happy for you Charlie an I hope you sell it if thats what you want to do. If you decide against selling about any cuemaker could shorten shafts an even save your ferrules. I guess its back to fishin for me....................

Ordering a cue should not be Brutality!!!!!!!! (one last time)
