I like the "so far" in your post. (and the play on words).Neil said:240 posts so far. Seems the problem ha been taken care of. He ordered a shaft, and he obviously has gotten the 'shaft'. If he also wanted the butt, well, I guess he has gotten it there too! Case solved.
Charlie Edwards said:My mail usually comes early but on Thursdays its at least 4-5 o'clock as a fill-in postman is used because this is my regular carrier's day off.
Charlie Edwards said:The poster said they believed I wouldn't respond with information about getting a part refund from Eddie. I posted that I would respond, if I get one, meaning I would be honest about it because I owe Eddie Wheat NOTHING.
lowcel said:It's about time for the mail, let's keep our fingers crossed! I am just as curious about how much of a refund Eddie thinks Charlie's time and aggravation warrants. I doubt that Charlie discloses this information but it would be nice to see how Eddie value's other people's time.

ScottW said:My point being, the original post, it reads as lowcel asking how much of a refund Charlie would be owed - not how much Charlie would owe Eddie.
IMO, I think what Charlie meant by that was He doesn't owe Eddie any kind of loyalty, or respect, not money, therefore he would post the info even if it makes Eddie look bad.ScottW said:My point being, the original post, it reads as lowcel asking how much of a refund Charlie would be owed - not how much Charlie would owe Eddie.

Damn, Eddie. What the hell did you do, strap it to the back of a turtle and point it towards Texas?
What the hell?

Fart sniffer said:Don't backpedal now David, you said it yourself several times that your good friend shipped the cue and so it was "in the mail" for sure. Maybe he jacked the UPS driver before he made it to the hub so that he could get the cue back, postpartum depression doesn't only affect women right? Ha ha.
Fart sniffer said:Hope you realize I am just messing with you David, I know you are just trying to smooth over a much trampled-on situation. Too bad people don't know how to act and it makes a fiasco out of a relatively simple transaction, it's a chance to shine and they make a shitpile out of it.
Is there ANY part of the game/sport that is doing well? The Action Report is the only shining beacon I can see in this sea of bullshit.
Thanks for explaining what I meant. I have read so much of EW twisting things that I've started doing the same thing. LOL.Dave38 said:IMO, I think what Charlie meant by that was He doesn't owe Eddie any kind of loyalty, or respect, not money, therefore he would post the info even if it makes Eddie look bad.
Dave
David, don't beat yourself up one bit. Eddie is very lucky to have a friend like you. You were only trying to help him. I admire and respect you for that. I, too, very vigorously stand up for my true friends. It's unfortunate that sometimes we get bitten for being the way we are. But I, like you, won't ever change.Blackjack said:LOL... The cue was shipped on Friday and should be there by now - I thought it would have been there yesterday - at the latest. Now I'm wondering what the hell is going on.
About the backpedalling - not really backpedalling, fwiw - since last week I have looked at this situation as an opportunity for Eddie to do the right thing. Too bad he didn't. The only reason I said anything in this thread was to confirm that the cue was shipped because that is what I was told on Saturday. I am not sure why Eddie couldn't confirm that information. I am not sure why the person that was with him couldn't do that, so I took those shots in the ass - and for what? In the end I look like an ass when it doesn't show up at Charlie's door.
FWIW, I think this situation is far beyond repair for Eddie Wheat. The least he could have done was ship it overnight - gotten to Charlie quickly. Whatever happens after this situation is over should not effect me at all, but will it?
NOTE for Eddie:
Sorry Eddie, but when my association with ANYBODY reflects poorly upon my credibility, I take a giant step back and re-evaluate the situation. I cannot agree with the way you have handled this situation publicly. You're getting plenty of attention, but it all has to do with your lack of personal responsibility, not your cuemaking. You are very talented at what you do, its just too bad nobody will know that because you drove them away with all of this nonsense.
