Well, this "keyboard warrior" is off to the DCC to play in the 1pocket and donate to the pro player retirement fund.

For the first time my wife is going to get a peek at the DCC festivities. She's flying into Louisville on her way to Lexington to teach a class there so she's stopping by for a couple of hours to take a look. So that's pretty cool. Also, one of the things I like the most at these kinds of events is to see old friends again from all over the country and to meet new ones.

If you see me there please come over and say, "hi."

Rats. Can't go this go-round, Lou, timing as it were with personal events. But if I were, I'd definitely be in the Banks, One Pocket, and 14.1 events, and obviously would be looking for ya.

Will be at SBE, though, so if you've a chance to go to this year's event, it's guaranteed to be different from past events because of the vastly different venue.

Take care, and you and the better half enjoy yourselves over there.

Best,
-Sean

Back from the DCC -- had a ball.

Thanks to all who found me and said, "Hey!" with two special shoutouts: first to Dustin, AZ and OnePocket.org member who, for unknown reasons, sweated every one of my matches -- thank you for your support, Dustin. And also a sincere thank you to Tommy D who, unbelievably, approached me to say hello and gave me an original copy of a special supplement to the "Springfield News" on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Willie Mosconi's 526 ball run in that same town. Thanks a million, Tom. Mark and Sunny, very much enjoyed our dinner together.

Greg -- you and your event rock.

Was great seeing you Lou, and was pleased to have met your lovely wife Gail.

And, of course, it was great toasting to your 5,000th post as planned.

Twas grand, Stu. And you're a good man -- it's so unusual around here for a guy to buy you a drink after they say they're going to. Some guys have managed to dodge coming through on their proffer of a drink for years :-)

Thanks, John. (Still not sure which St. Louis John you are.)

I'm the 1P John that always addressed you as Colonel rather than Lou.
Probably 12 or 14 years ago. I think it was just after you had retired from the Air Force.

I am good friends with Bill Crowel, Doreman and Big Ed and the late Dean Higgs.

Man, those 5 x 10's must be tough, bring the best to their knees.

I'm demanding a full report. Looks like you had a pretty good run this year and you got to play a couple top dogs.

Congrats on a nice showing.
