Official Scores

As predicted, I only had one measley hour of table time the last two months, so I was able to only finish one hurried and cold set. For the spirit of the tournament, I will post the outcome of this horrendous set...

Set#1 = 3,1,6,0,3,10,4,7,0,9 = 43

If I averaged a 43 for 5 sets, then my score would come to 215. I predicted I would get in the 400s at this point in my life. Apparently, my prediction was way off. It's unbelievable how hard it is to sustain a run when your stroke is not straight.

Hehe...at least no one can accuse me of lying or cheating. :)

Well, I won't be able to finish. DM started this in the holiday season which is the worst possible time for me to play. I guess the idea was everyone had lots of time off, maybe so but not me.

one hour of table time man, i would go crazy. I know the second set will be much better.

ok I got a chance to finally try this..

I wasn't planning on using these scores for the tournament because I was just trying the game to see about the best strategy etc... but I'll post what I was able to do last night anyway.

Ok it was on a 9 ' GC III with get this, 3 7/8" pockets. These were the tightest pockets I've ever seen and it's why I've been practicing there. They weren't shimmed either, the rails were actually cut to this and it was 3 7/8" at the opening of the pocket, not where it drops, although considering that it was cut almost square it wasn't much tighter at the drop off point.

I was only able to play five racks worth. I got a 15,20,20,7,16.

Yeah I've started carrying around a little measuring tape to get an accurate measurement of pocket size. At shooters in riverside they were 4.25" although I wasn't able to play the DM game there. They varied between 4.25 and 4.5 down at college bililards in San Diego and they were 4..75 I think?(I didn't have the measuring tape when I was there though) at OnCue in San Diego. Next time I go in I'll play the tournament for real and see what I can do.
