official Seminole Pro Tour update

looks like 7-2 Stevie, I bet Sparky wishes Stevie did not play this tournament. I guess if you have to get beat twice by a person in a tournament it is nice for the second loss to be in the finals.

Stevie Moore is your champion... Congrats to both of them for a fantastic tournament. Packin up now. gainesville, fl at Art of Billiards in 3 weeks!!

Way to go Stevie!
Looks like going to Florida and skipping the TK tourney in Athens was the way to go. There was only like 18 people in the tourney and they didn't even have a calcutta because it would have been too top heavy with Johnny the overwhelming favorite.

This was another great event put on by the Tribe. Congrats to Kevin pickard and the Tribe for making these events happen.

This is a great win for Stevie in what I think was one of the toughet field I have seen this year on tour.

Next event is at the Art of Billiards in Gainsville another new room which is suppose to be very nice.

See you all there and thanks for all the support.

well that drive wasnt too bad... :) Here's a quick update before hittin the sack for the night. All of this information was received over the phone from a spectator, so take it for what its worth. I wasnt there anymore.
Corey and Tony were tied at 6-6 when they decided to extend the race to 10. Tony won the next 4 and took the set 10-6.

Gnight and thanks so much for the support throughout the weekend.

I just rolled in the door from pool room. Thanks so much for the support, folks, it means alot, really. I'm an occasional player and to cash in this type of tournament really is a miracle for me and extremely satisfying.

This was probably the most fun I have had a tournament in a while. The Diamond Billiards pool room in cape coral is just amazing. James runs a room that has everything you ever wanted in a pool room. Great tables, really good people working there (and super hot waitresses), lots and lots of pool action, flat screen tvs everywhere--including the bathrooms, and it was slammed all weekend.

The action at this tournament was much better than usual. On Friday I watched a race to 15 for a dime between two top regional players, both of who cash really high in the tournament. Tonight, the action was getting so good, we didnt want to leave. Originally we were gonna start the 2.5hr drive home at 6 and then Chohan and Corey started so we stayed. It was originally a race to 8 and then they doubled the bet and extended it to 10. When we left it was 8-6 Trex. On the table next to it there was a $100 a game 1p game going on and then next to that table a $400 a game nineball game was going on with Wiseman giving a local the 5 out. Wiseman was winning. After we left we heard a Tony won and then a 10 ahead for 1k with two other top players started immediately on the table Trex/Corey got off of. You gotta love a pool room like Diamonds. More than a few players said to me over the weekend...Damn if only this pool room was in my home town...

I just wanted to thank everyone that came out and played this weekend. I am glad everyone loved the room. We had another match between Jason Kirkwood and Donnie Mills 10 ahead for $1000.00 jason won the first ten.. Then they played rack your own 9 ball with Jason getting the last 2 they set a time limit of 3 a.m. and at that time jason was up 2 games, they might play some more tomorrow... If anything good happens i will post it later..

James,
Jerry and China told me that your pool hall is just amazing. They really spoke highly of it.
I really wish I had gone up for this event. Next time one of our guys goes up there for action or a tournament I'll make sure to tag along, lord knows I shouldn't venture out of my county with a pool-stick in-hand on my own. :)
I'm glad everything is going good for you and your business!

Congrats to everyone who played, and many thanks to the Seminole Tribe for keeping the funds in this tour.
Thanks KP for the updates and for everything else.

Congrats Dave, I hope I don't get any more funny looks when I ask you for 10-5 after this... especially when you drilled Rob Saez 7-0 in that last tournament (lol!)

GG everyone.

and...

How was the first set played? Did JK get weight there, or only when DM got to rack his own?!?!?! :scratchhead: :shocked2:

So much

for someone saying in the jump cue thread that Stevie Moore does not use a jump cue:

"Moore concluded his first pro tour victory of the year by jumping the 5 ball in the final game and hitting a dead 2-10 combination to end it."

I did not get to see it first hand. But from what I read it was even in 10ball. Donnie lost and they played another set and he gave up weight???

Nice report UWATE. $400 a game nine ball? WOW! :shocked2:

Glad you did well. It sure sounds like Diamond Billiards in Cape Coral, FL was the place to be this weekend. :crying:
