Oh No! Here We Go Again!

pool4U...<<Efren and Francisco paid their taxes on the money they haven't received yet:>>

Hello Peggy. I think you misinterpreted the article. All they did was to go to the government office to attempt to obtain an accurate accounting...not to PAY any taxes at that time.

Puyat just speculated that he thought they would get paid this month and agreed to include any such amount in the calculation of the small Phillipine tax added on the the large 30% U.S. withholding tax that has obviously NOT been collected because the money has not yet been paid out.

Regards,
Jim

"Reyes and Bustamante want an accurate computation of their earnings, the bulk of which came from international stints, the past five years to avoid tax misdeclaration."
You are correct av, I jumped the gun. It was still an interesting article, don't you think? They will pay just 5% on that money since the US gets 30%. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

I hope nobody is holding their breath.

Just to go out on a limb, I'm pretty certain that KT subscribes to the theory of,"Don't cop to nothing, make em beat it out of ya."

I'm sure plenty of volunteers can be found to test this theory out.

Whew! For a minute there, I thought you were going to say because she was Jewish, but that's a different procedure.

Then we could get to the short of things.

Hmmm no update. Glad I didn't sit here all afternoon waiting for it:eek: So...........where is it?:D

So far this 6-page thread has had 4006 viewings and 86 postings...and who knows how many man-hours wasted in reading Eydie's "announcement" about an announcement. Not to mention all the other secondary threads opened by other posters pertaining to Eydie's announcement.

Eydie, in the future please try provide announcements when you actually have something substantive to say. :)

Yeah, that goes for me too. In the future, please "KT, Or Get Off The Pot."

I was really curious what was going on, but it's impossible to go to the IPT section and actually get any information about the status of the IPT. Can anyone give a non-emotional summary of the status?

Maybe Eydie's just trying to stay with the theme of things. You know, the IPT loves to announce annoucements ahead of the actual announcements, which are actually just more annoucements to announce more announcements. It might be that, secretly, KT is her hero. :D

How ironic. LOL :D

It is curious that you have not been able to sort through the posts which provide an exhaustive review...some emotional...some not...about what is going on.

But in a nutshell, the IPT has paid few if any of the Reno players. Excuses then began to flow...several of which...including that the checks were lost by Fed Ex...have noW been admitted by IPT officials as being untrue.

The payment delay is being blamed essentially on the delays in closing on interim financing and a purported sale of the IPT to Ho Interactive...a company owned by the Chinese multi-billionaire, Stanley Ho. Ho Interactive, in turn, purportedly has had its plans to raise funds in an Initial Public Offering delayed due to the recent signing of legislation that prohibits U.S. credit card firms from tendering payments to on-line gambling operators.

I have used the word "purported" relative to the Ho matters because there is no confirmation from any source, other than the IPT itself, as to what the status of any Ho-related negotiations might be or whether, in fact, there have ever been any such negotiations.

In the meantime, multiple Press Releases have issued from the IPT quoting Kevin Trudeau who attempts to reassure the doubters that payments will be made and that the IPT plans to be around "for a long time" or words to that effect.

However, due to numerous announcements and assurances from the IPT that have not, so far, come to pass, there is considerable doubt being expressed by many posters on this forum as to the credibility of the IPT statements.

That is the essential status in my opinion.

Jim

Additionally, the IPT has cancelled two tournaments, one in London and the other in Chicago without a rescheduled date. They have, over the course of their short existance increased the entry fee for their qualifying tournaments from $500(I believe) to $2000.

One point of major interest is that, in spite of the cancelled tournaments and the non payment to the players and others, they continue to hold multiple qualifyier tournaments accepting entry fees for future tournaments that are not even scheduled to take place. It has been stated by many that the IPT resembles the pryamid type of business model that appears to be the basis of Mr. trudeau's past business ventures.

Mr. Trudeau is a convicted felon with a past the includes prison, investigations and fines by the various State and Federal agencies. This information is readily available public information.

I meant to post this on a different thread, but it seems to apply here as well, so I leave it

Salon.com did a story on Kevin Trudeau back in July of '05, shortly before the IPT got rolling. Read it and see how many similarities there are to what's currently happening with the IPT. Disturbing.

I agree....

Info will be out by Friday evening. No more announcements before announcements again!

Each time I seem to get ready to put it out, something comes up. Honestly didn't mean this much of a delay.

Sorry, wont happen again..
