This is my second cue I left the first cue I built over at Jeffs ... Will have to pick it up tomorrow and post it here ... I have a passion for cues I just love them and Jeff has been talking to me trying to get me into it ... I think he may be having second thoughts now beause I have been so picky and he is probably about to throw me out of his shop...lol... But our hopes are that together we will be able to buy what we need and get everything together and build the best possible cues we can ... For me it is not a full time thing I will work my regular job and it is not a full time thing for Jeff ... It is something we hope to start into together and build up over a period of time ... I always said I would never do this but I just love cues to much and now thanks to Jeff I am doing something I really love ... We figure together we can afford to get everything we need to build some great cues in time ... But it is a learning experience and as Jeff says we would appreaciate all the input we can get ...

Here are picks of my second cue cue will post the forst one tomorrow ...

This one is Purple Heart ... The balance point is 18 and 3/4 inches from the butt ....

Cue wieghs in at 19.2 ozs
Black Diamond tip...
Titan Ferell...
12.75 Tip Dia ...
We played a few games with it and it has a very sweet hit to it ... The cue plays lights out I played about 8 games with it and was unbeatable ...lol...

HI All,
King has done a great job on this cue. As much as he likes cue I new he would love building .Working with him will be good for us both.We each catch thing the other miss.This cue has a nice clean med. hit and moves the cb easy.We have along ways to go but we will get there and learn from everything and every1 we can. Wait, there is 1 thing that King does that will get him @@@@@@@!!!!!!!!! but not kick out of the shop. You Know what that is (SIR.)lol. And as always all input is welcome . Thanks Jeff Eason

Thank you I will try to bring the other one home tomorrow and post it ... The other one is also Purple Heart but it has a Teak Handle ... It is a 60 inch cue two 30 inch shafts and one 30 inch butt ... The ring work did not come out in it as I had hoped it would ...The ring work in that cue was a bit more complicated... So I built two shafts for it and will put it up in my show case as my first cue built . I don't want to let it go out of the shop since the ring work is not right in it .. One shaft is a 30 inch playing shaft with a Mason Micarta ferrell and Everest tip ... The other shaft is a 30 inch Purple Heart Break shaft with a leather / phenolic tip on it ... The cue pictured above (With the black and white joint ) I will probably put in the for sale section sometime next week and see how it does ... I know it plays well...lol...

As I said I just love cues I have bought several and just have a fascination for them... I have alot of ideas in my head I just need to get the equipment and material to do them ... With Jeff's help and my love of cues I'm sure with time we will get where we want to go doing this ... I know it is not a easy thing to do and there is alot of work to it and little to no money in it ... But I am doing something I love and there is not alot of people in this world that can say that ...

Butch, nice work. I bet you got a lot of pleasure from the project. I can't think of more fun than winning a buck with a cue you made yourself (unless it's catching a fish on a fly you tied).
