I was at the first one. Don't recall any video of it. Found this tho:Does anyone have any footage from this tournament yrs ago???
This was a $3000/man chip-style ring game. It got a little funny towards the end. All i'm gonna say. Payout: https://www.azbilliards.com/tournament/1815-shooters-10-ball-ring-game/?action=results 2nd place was Mike Banks Jr. from KC.I never heard of this particular ring game but it has been my experience the best way to gang up on a guy and rob him is a ring game.
Gotta be sure you know who you are playing against. An outsider faces long odds.
I’ve read posts saying it was mike and some said it was Justin Bergman, wasn’t sure who it was but I seen someone said TAR live-streamed it so I was wanting to see the videoThis was a $3000/man chip-style ring game. Bergman won the second one in '08.i was there. It was put on by the Action Report. Justin and Big Nasty (RIP). I dont think Bigtruck would have footage of it. Justin Bergman defeated Shane Mcminn to win it all if I recall.
Did Orcollo enter the second one or did he avoid it?Bergman won the second one in '08.
Don't remember if he played second one. Don't think so.Did Orcollo enter the second one or did he avoid it?
But the outsider is also getting 2:1 on the money, so the ganger-uppers better know who they're playing too!I never heard of this particular ring game but it has been my experience the best way to gang up on a guy and rob him is a ring game.

My experience is if you never get a shot you are of chips because somebody runs out before you get back to the table. But the outsider is also getting 2:1 on the money, so the ganger-uppers better know who they're playing too!
They were a yr apart. If DO was in the area i'm sure he would have played again as the $$ was kinda hard to turn down. I have NO solid proof of what did/did not go down. Looked a lil funny but those ring-game chip tourn. can look that way.My experience is if you never get a shot you are of chips because somebody runs out before you get back to the table.
I played in a ring game - 10 ball - and took second the first week. Rattled the 8 ball on a bank shot in the final rack. Next week I never got a shot. First player out. I didn't buy back in and I didn't return the following week.
That's why I asked if Orcollo returned or if he wised up. Doesn't matter if you are the best player in a rigged ring game. No better way to rob a guy.
You aren't wrong and it also isn't always right. My experience is if you never get a shot you are of chips because somebody runs out before you get back to the table.

I was in a ring game event and got down to the final table, then the final 3...They were a yr apart. If DO was in the area i'm sure he would have played again as the $$ was kinda hard to turn down. If the guy in front of you misses and leaves you safe you're not going to win if the other players are competent. Against bangers you might still win but against decent players you might as well unscrew. Somebody will run out before you get back to the table. You aren't wrong and it also isn't always right.
For upper mid level players and below, giving 2:1 on the money can be real risky. Remember, these are players who turn the table over by accident/ error.
Unless they are going to blatantly team up, they can get behind very quickly.
I've been on both ends of it and ring games (used to be) a specialty of mine. I can't even tell you how many times I've won a game, then shit the 9 in and brk/run one, other players have.paid 3+ games and not taken a shot and I am at least 6 payments ahead of where I was when I started.
If one can do that trifecta+ once every hour or so, it is a real hard thing for the others to counter.
I've made tens of thousands of dollars running out from 'safe'...and I suck at pool.If the guy in front of you misses and leaves you safe you're not going to win if the other players are competent. I'm far worse than you. I obviously need weight.I've made tens of thousands of dollars running out from 'safe'...and I suck at pool.
