Olathe Not Players Fault!!!!

I have been misunderstood here......It was not the players fault.....it was a little unethical but technically within the rules...Pool players are broke and struggle to survive ...So of course if they could put the best player on the planet out by doing something alittle bit shady they are going to.................

WHAT I AM SAYING IS THIS COULD HAVE BEEN STOPPED...ALL THAT HAD TO HAPPEN WAS FOR DAN TULL TO BE A STANDUP GUY AND STEP IN AND STOP THIS SO IT DIDNT PUT A BLACK CLOUD OVER A GREAT TOURNAMENT...ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS SAY BOYS THIS AINT HAPPENING NOT HERE NOT NOW NOT EVER YOU GUYS ARE GOING TO REDRAW AND REBREAK AND IF ANYTHING ELSE LIKE THIS HAPPENS I WILL KICK WHOEVER DOES IT OUT OF THIS TOURNAMENT AND U WILL GET NO MONEY..................BUT NO ONE IS GONNA REMEMBER IN A YEAR WHO WON THIS TOURNEY BUT THEY WILL REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED TO PUT ORCULLO OUT.....
SHANE MCMINN AND BANKS JR PLAYED GREAT I CONGRATULATE THEM...NOT THEIR FAULT WHAT HAPPENED...ITS THE POOL WORLDS FAULT WHAT HAPPENED....as long as people continue to let these type of things happen then pool will never have any major money in it....

AND will bet any amount anyone wants to that at the start of that game Orcullo had 3300...I was sweating harder then any living human for my $7,000 don't worry........................i called out JCIN RIGHT ON THE SPOT AFTER THE TOURNEY TO BACK UP WHAT HE WAS SAYING THAT DENNIS ONLY HAD 300 GOING IN TO THAT GAME......AND HIS MOUTH STOPPED MOVING..................and he took a different tone

I think you're the black cloud over this tournament. Bank's took a length of the table kick shot at oneball and the cueball hit the side pocket point and then the other side pocket point and went up table leaving a very MISSABLE shot remaining on the oneball. McMinn looked the shot over and passed it back to Banks, AS THE RULES ALLOW.
What's "SHADY" about that ? Absolutely nothing. STFU
At that point, Dennis unscrewed and QUIT (even though he wouldn't have been illiminated b/c he had $300 AFTER he lost his $3,000 for THAT game).
With the game OVER, Banks bunted the eightball when he got bad position and McMinn swept all three remaining balls uptable. They then played the race to 21 for cheese.
You're a big mouthed blow hard and YOU are creating the 'black cloud' over this tournament.
There was NOTHING 'shady' done and the players followed the RULES.

IF YOU THINK NOTHING IS WRONG WITH WHAT HAPPENED THEN YOU ARE AN IDIOT........EVERYONE THat says nothing is wrong with what happened is a moron..................im calling anyone in the whole world who says they truly believe nothing was wrong with what happened a bold face fcking liar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would have to have not one ounce of honor or dignity in your body to thik what happened was okay..........The players involved even know it was wrong but because the rules were like that and no one stopped them they had to what they did to survive...I mean they are a couple of broke players just like the rest of the pool world..life is tough if u dont fck someone they will fck you if they can..................

I think the whole world could give you the seven out if the game was credibility.

I took a different tone? You are lucky I took that tone. You would not have liked the one I wanted to take.

what a douche

I wonder how bad the beeaotching would be if you lost........

Doug beat me to it ....but it needs repeating..
you are the only thing that sucked about this event...

From what I have read on this, it seems to me that Shane (whom I have met and seems like a decent guy) gave the shot back which was well within the rules. If Dennis decided to quit, well thats his choice. You cant say this one situation caused Dennis to get knocked out, he only had 3300 left so surely he had other opportunities during this match. My personal opinion is that maybe the format allows for these kinds of situations, so you really cant blame the players for following the rules. JMO.

Are you talking about Bill Brasky? I know Bill Brasky!

They did indeed. As did Orcullo, Walden, SVB, and the rest of the field.

How about this: what happened is over, so lets not try to lay any more blame or point any more fingers. It's really not productive.

We should be talking about a solution that will work for the future. Bob's suggestion about passing forward and not back is a great idea.

Uhh uhh, I wanna buy you a drink:D

"Did I ever tell you about the time Brasky took me out to go get a drink with him? We go off looking for a bar and we can't find one. Finally Brasky takes me to a vacant lot and says, 'Here we are.' We sat there for a year and a half ? until sure enough, someone constructs a bar around us. Well, the day they opened we ordered a shot, drank it, and then burned the place to the ground. Brasky yelled over the roar of the flames, 'Always leave things the way you found 'em!'"

a good ole Brasky story beats the hell out of this thread any day

"Brasky once date raped David Bowie"
"Brasky once hosted the Grammys and gave every award to Corey Hart"

I agree with the premise that this is not the players' fault. Inherent in this format of competition is the possibility that a situation will arise in which a player can improve their chance of winning by intentionally misplaying a shot. If a player made an intentional error to improve their chance of winning, I'm OK with it. From a tactical standpoint, a player should be expected to take the course of action that maximizes their chance of winning the competition. I don't have the remotest idea of what went down in Olathe, but the reality remains that the ring game has some flaws as a format for competiton, and those who participate in it realize this.

Dadgum it sounds like our friend and video provider Jcin held himself back from stompin the mudhole in the buthole.

Every Filipino knows it's a tough spot to be shooting between two country boys. :-)

I'd say given the choice between McMinn and Orcullo in the finals AND the choice between guaranteed second place vs. possible third the Banks made the wise choice to allow McMinn to eliminate Orcullo. And he was pretty obvious about it so it probably wasn't any collusion on him and McMinn's part.

It sounds to me like Banks just decided to do what he wanted to do to insure his spot under the rules. Sure it's not in the "spirit" of the tournament which is to go for all your shots and I consider it unethical behavior for a ring game, but it's a loophole that got exploited and showed that money trumps heart sometimes.

Bowman/ Deuel

What ever happened to the Corey and Jesse match up. That is all that was talked about on here for two weeks before. My understanding is that someone didn't have the money.
