Hi everyone. I just picked up an old Adam? cue. It doesn't have a logo or name on the cue itself but there is what appears to be an Adam logo on one of the original stickers that are still on the cue. That particular sticker is on the shaft of the cue. On the butt there are three more stickers. One that says 19oz. one that says Japan and one that says M/A 22. This cue appears to be unused. The joint is brass with the male end on the shaft. The diameter of the screw is approximately 1/2 inch There are quite a few diamond and round inlays on both the forearm and butt of this cue. Does any one have any info on this cue? With all the changes in the Adam cue company of late I havent been able to find any info online about this cue at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off welcome to AzBilliards! Second, as a piece of advice for the future, any time you post a thread about a cue remember 3 things on here PICTURES PICTURES PICTURES! Like the old saying goes, pictures say 1000 words. Third, I am by no means a cue expert at all but what I do know is that very few imports (Chinese, Japanese) cues are worth much, I could be wrong but almost every Adam that I have seen or heard of has been around the $100 mark give or take some for condition and rarity. That is just a semi educated number and as far as any other info I couldn't help you at all. Hope it helps somehow!

Yes what master_cueist said>>welcome.

The diameter of the joint is 1/2 inch sounds like a Schmelke.....unless you mean the length of the screw is 1/2 inch. Plenty of help here but pics are a real plus!

Back in the day, I had an Adams which I liked a lot, but it was stolen in the 1990's. Bought it off Jim Rempe over thirty years ago. Back then, Jim not only competed using an Adams Cue but was their professional representative.

No idea what it's worth, but I suspect you've latched on to a very nice cue that plays well.

For some reason Adam cues do not hold the value some of us think they should . Maybe becouse they were all made in Japan . Thet were good quality cues . This does not sound like a Adam cue . Jim

It actually sounds like one of the lower end Adam cues. And the model designation sticker (M/A 22) sounds Adam.

Adam made great cues. Some of the lower end ones were no so great...and do fit this description.

As value, I wouldn't sell any of my Adam cues for $100 as was indicated by a other poster...but all of mine are probably worth in the $200 range. So not exactly terribly valuable.

I strongly suggest posting pics.

As for that model designation. I am betting Jayman will come along and confirm that as an Adam model.
