Hey all,

I have a buddy with an old 1 x 2 Brunswick satchel case. He's looking to
sell it, but has no idea what the case is worth. Any ideas what the case
would be going for in todays market? Heres some pics. The outside is in
great shape, but the inside material is torn and not in the best of shape.
The shaft sleeves still work great, just a bit messy up top. Thanks all in
advance, Dom.

Man those are cool looking cases. i actually ran into a guy in the sleaziest bar in stockton that had one of those with him a few days ago. i offered to buy it off him but he wouldn't sell it (it was a gift)

i think the last one of those cases i saw sold here for a little over a hundred. but i'm far from a case expert so i'd take that with a grain of salt

what's your buddy want for it?

Could we get some more pictures to give us a better idea?

Nice case and good luck finding its value!

Thats just the thing. He doesnt have any idea what to ask for it. He's not
gonna ask top dollar, but doesnt want to get raked through the coals
either. I'm sure he'll want to be somewhere in the middle. It is
truly a nice looking case. Very light too. A few small nicks, but nothing
major at all. I cant believe how nice it looks on the outside for such an
old case. If it werent for the torn material on the inside, it would have to
be rated very high. Thanks for the input.

LOL, Was I a bit over the top on the pics?
Everyone is always asking for more pics. in
these situations. I figured I'd just load up
the pics right away.

That case looks like the one used by Paul Newman in the movie in the 60s.

sorry I missed your call.
Yes, the case is leather.
100% sure.
this was the lesser of the two cases they sold in this era.
the higher end case was in black, and had metal holding the side strap down.
in mint condition, your case would bring $150.
due to the lining being a bit torn, it would bring approx. $100 or a hair more.
the black ones in mint condition go for $200+ on ebay.

hope this helps Dom.

your friend,

O.K. Chris. Thanks. I did hear that they bring in upwards of $ 200.00 but I
guess I misunderstood about the black upper end cases. I thought that
this was one of those. O.K. We'll re-evaluate, and come up with another
price on this one. Thanks Chris. I really appreciate it. Dom.
