Old huebler

i have a very old huebler we got with a pool table in 1993
we took it in to the local pool hall the owner was a collecter and said it wasnt worth anything but he would give us 800 for it lol my father said no
the last year on league a collecter on another team offered me 1500 cash for it and still asks me if i will sell it for that every time i see him so i know its worth something i reallly dont want to part with this cue but my car crapped out and it took everything we had to replace and now two weeks later my wifes truck bit it we need money so please if anyone has knowledge or can tell me what to ask for let me know i was to told the bottom is ivory it has hubler written up in down in very fine gold lettering on ivory it has 4 points and several shafts and a period case now my images wont load lol

Welcome to the forum!

Pictures please.

If is is a Huebler Custom Shop cue it could be worth in the range you are talking about. With the gold lettering on it, it does not sound like a Custom Shop cue though.

Detailed pics of the cue would help, especially pics of what is under the bumper, with the bumper removed. If it is a custom, you will find the markings there.

Pics of the case would help too.

When get them to load please them up, because without them you will get little if any action.

Ah! I missed the last part about the pics. By all means we will help you post the pics. Manwon will likely know something about the cue as well.

I believe jpeg is fine, it's the size that might be a problem if you are trying to use AZB to host them. I don't know the size limit though.

You can use an image host though, I use my gmail account to host pics in my online photo album.

You can just email them to Manwon and he will put them right up I am sure. No muss, no fuss. I would do the same but he offered first.

I was thinking the same thing.....
But you never know, stranger things have happened and it's possible there is some kind of a Huebler we have never heard of or seen that could be something worth a bunch....

I want to see it.

k i emailed pics to the two people that offered to post for me thaank you um it has 2 turqoise rings just above the ivory but thing and 6 shafts and as far as underneath the rubber deal for writing i cant get it off lol
 
And as far as the 1500 goes i will definatly take it if its not worth more we just need another car bad so i wanted to make sure i wasnt screwing myself by accepting his offer and being that i know no one to ask in person about but him lol i was afraid to take it

My gut is telling me it's worth a lot less, your description isn't anything that impresses me as something worth nearly $1500.00. But let's wait for the pictures.

ok each point is dark wood in the center then a reddish one then greenish one then black on the outside to a sharp point and i know at one time the made a remake that looked almost identical but it was new enough to have the side to side writing

Sounds like you are talking about veneered points. That's definitely a good sign.

I have a one of a kind, custom shop Huebler from the 80's. There's no way it can be worth that much.:confused:

I would have to disagree. There are definite Huebler Custom Shop cues that are worth $1,500.00 or more. The Ivory Cards, U.S. Open, and Ivory Twist are 3 models that I remember being produced that I believe would all be worth price range being discussed. And if I had the money to burn right now, I would be willing to spend that to obtain any of those 3 listed cue models into my personal collection.

But of course identifying the exact model is key to any correct evaluation of the cue.

I wish you well, and I hope you find the guy who made you the big offer. But keep this in mind, he may be a forum member you just never know. I would also like to say to some who have posted to this thread if you do know what your talking about it is better to say nothing at all then you won't let others know you do not know what your talking about.

I mean no disrespect to anyone but it makes no sense to confuse the person asking for help.

Oh, they are out there...but it looks like that's not what he has.

Always best to find out for sure...you never know until you see.
