Do you have a pic you could post of the bottom half of that paper in post #17, showing the rest of the story and also the complete bank tournament players finish order ?

I only copied the pictures on that page, because it had Truman and keith both on it. I'll do the results and article for you tomorrow, and hopefully they'll download into a smaller file this time.
 
Wow, thanks so much for the memories and great photos. I have a few of those mags, I think.

What is so cool about them is that this is the only archives of American pool in those great magazines and newspapers. If you do a Google search for some of yesteryear's great players, not much comes up. So I cherish these media documents very much.

DeadOn sent me five pictures of Keith when he was younger from California, which are very cool black-and-whites. I won't post them here unless he gives me permission, but they really are sweet. The long hair, the mustache, the style of dress, it's so '80s. LOL! :D

Thanks again for taking the time to scan those and post 'em up. I know how long it takes to search and do that sort of thing, and I really do appreciate it!

So I found a couple of him, Parica, Efren, Grady, and a few others. I also found the article about Clyde Childress getting killed in a car accident. Another article about Bucktooth at a tourney trying to stir up some action. I know how much all you guys love him. LOL
I just got this computer a few months ago, and I'm not sure I have a program to resize the pictures so I can download to AZ. I know I have a disk with a picture program on it somewhere and will download them soon.
It was a pretty good trip down memory lane today. If someone else would like to post them for me, I'll email them to you. In the meantime, if you have some to add to this post, drop em' in.

Sam, that brought back a lot of old memories. I played in everyone of those Midwest 9-Ball tournaments until they moved north. Thanks again.
 
You're welcome. Those were great tourny's. I made friends with Mac Ashby at like my 2nd one. It's hard to believe we've been friends that long. He is un-doubtedly one of the best people I've ever known from the pool world. And absolutely funniest person I've ever traveled to a tournament with. We drove 3 hours to Lexington for a tournament at Steepletons, and I laughed almost continuously. My sides hurt when I got back home.
If you missed the ones in Ft.Wayne, you really missed a lot.
 
Yeah, I had just quit playing when they moved. Mac and Steve are a good guys. I've played on a number of league teams with Mac. I quit playing all together for about ten years and recently picked it back up again.
