Olhausen Brunswick thread

Agree.
I 've been to Olhausen and Brunswick sale training and they have there claims and just like my questions here I asked them the same. All I got was a sale's pitch no proof other then."Because we say so".....
Welcome to the school of "sales and braging rights"...LOL:D

I can hit 9 rails with the cue ball on either a Diamond, Olhausen, or Brunswick GC with either Championship Titan or Simonis on the tables...but, no matter what...I can't get 10 rails with all the claims of the "best" rubber installed on them and that's the bottom line. So I guess when judging the quality of a pool table, and I'm only talking about so called Professional 9fts here, you really have to go beyond the rail rubber as it all plays well, and take a look at what the rubber is mounted to...being the "rest" of the table, which is where Diamond excels over the rest.

Hmmmm...I don't quit think so, but I will agree with you that the "cloth" as it's worn will make it appear to slow down. As far as Olhausen's go, why not replace the accufast if it needs to be replaced....with accufast rubber any way...the rails are designed for it...so, use it...lol I'd never put any rubber on an Olhausen...except the accufast in the first place.

Glen....your comments were from 2007...has anything changed? I have an 8 foot olhausen with accufast cushions and want to replace them with Artimis k66... Will that now work without modifying the rails? Or should I just replace them with accufast....i play on diamonds at break time billiards in Wilmington and love the cushions...and would love to have them on my olhausen....your thoughts please. The reason i want to replace the accufast because I only get 4 rails up and down the table and get close to 6 on the diamonds...I also hear a couple of thunks on my accufast cushions and I think they may be breaking down...if you are bored, you can give me a call if you want 724-622-1510. I have heard a lot of great things about you from various sources...would love to talk...
Thanks
