Both good cases. I think the JB is comparable to them.
There were several people that owned one and said the construction on the JB was more solid. However for storage at home I would buy the cheapest case.
Acme and Omega are relatively cheap knock-offs. They look similar, but you can easily tell the difference in construction and quality.
My .02 worth, spend a few extra bucks, do it right the first time, and get the JB.

We have a few of each in the family, (3) JB and (2) Acme so I will give you what I feel is a fair comparison. First, the ACME is more affordable than the JB Rugged by around 50%. In my opinion, the JB is the better constructed of the two. It feels heavier and more solid, as it should be, as it is the more expensive case. I have a 4x8 Acme that I use for cue storage that works great. I just bought a 2x4 Acme for my daughter who is just starting out playing pool. My go to league case is a JB rugged as is my wife's. By the way, I keep my Southwest in a JB case.
As mentioned by earlier posters, I agree that the JB has an edge in quality. With that being said, the Acme is a great case for the money. My daughter's Acme case (that we just took delivery on) has a neat elastic strap on the inside that allows you to pull the shafts and butt up a bit. This makes getting them out of the case very easy, which is a cool feature. The zippers and pockets on the ACME seem to be good quality and well made. They are not a shoddy/cheaply made case, they are just not as well made as the JB, but they are more affordable.

Big difference is inside. JB's UltraPad interior is way better than on the ACME. For just basic storage or back-n-forth to league or the 'hall either will work. If you travel and the case gets bounced around the JB with its full-length liner is a better choice. I'd pay the extra for the JB everytime.
JB is like the only Case, beside GTF that JB MADE.
I really hope this isn't a serious question. Acme cases are complete pieces of shit. Couldn't give me one for free to use. JB all the way.
What about Instroke? Wasn't that where JB started it all?
Was and apprently there are some German Made Instroke that are good, to John credit, or shame, Instoke is not like it was
Many Faux Instroke Cases, but time changes stuff.

I carry a JB Rugged "Camo". So far it has been excellent. As for now, I wouldn't think of carrying my cues in any other branded case!
With that being said, buy what you can afford. I can assure you that JB cases, although more expensive, IS a better quality case! Bar none! Hands Down!

Think John idea about Protection First is good idea, protect Cues. To John's Credit has has done serve U-Tube EXPOSING what to look for and how some people build cheap, and cases are like facades on movie set. He shows one with a removable Cue Compartment, 2 inches of protection, 25" Plus of no protection, everything rattlers.
I have not looked at the other cases, but my family has bought 3 JB cases, and I recommended them to others and sold a few more for him, because I think his company should be supported.

Years ago the ex and I were looking at houses and she was loving this one. Clean and shiny with the new upgrades. I was looking at the structure underneath and told her not to be fooled, it was "candy coated shit". It looked great on the outside, but beneath the surface was to be problems down the road.
I was very skeptical at first and reluctant to part with the extra cash until researching a lot and seeing first hand the difference. Now I have my second custom case ordered and should be getting soon.
If it's gonna leave the house just get a JB and be happy now and later.

My main case is a JB Rugged 3x6. My wife has an Acme (Omega) 3x5. The JB is built more solidly. Better interior, thicker/more durable material, slightly better zippers.
If I had semi-to-expensive cues to haul around, I'd definitely go with a JB case...hands down.
If you are going to league night with inexpensive cues, or are just looking for something to store some cues in at home, then the Acme will certainly do the job.
The only thing I find slightly better on an Acme case is the pull tab that allows the "guts" to come out of the case a bit for easy cue removal (that said...I have never once had a problem removing my cues out of the JB case, and my wife hasn't, to my knowledge, used the pull tab on her Acme case). Every other advantage goes to the JB case.
If it were me, and money wasn't an issue, I'd 100% go with a JB case.
