In the end I'm glad this transaction never happened. I don't believe this cue should have been advertised as an omega / dpk . I would think it would have been more truthful to call it an omega blank finished by Esoteric/ Hill. I mean you wouldn't call a Palmer a Szamboti cue because it used a Szamboti blank.
At that price sorta makes you wonder how authentic it was or if it was stolen
I don't think the 'estate find' cues themselves were problematic.....the problem was the marketing. These cues should have gone to collectors to remain in tact as blanks or been transformed into something that looks different than the original. Poor judgement imo. They could only water down the mystique/name/following (whatever you want to call it) that Omega/dpk cues had. And there was a pretty good following at one time.
