On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

We all thank you for "Positively Promoting Pool"

Hi there Mr Scott. I've never met you and hope I will some day. I know you do alot of good for pool with your lessons and I applaud you for that.

I have something really special and great for pool to share with everyone. It is the most amazing aiming breakthrough for pool ever. Every player on the planet needs to know what I teach. Those that don't really understand exactly what Perfect Aim is might think other teachers teach this but they don't.

Even Dr Daves descrption of Perfect Aim on his site is so far out of wack that it is rediculous. I've told him so but he just leaves the misinformation there. I don't know why. I guess he just wants to have something there even if it's wrong. Players won't know the difference.

Why would you want wrong info on a site where you want facts that are true?

I know you don't know Perfect Aim but probably think you do. If you knew exactly how it works you would know why I puff my chest. It's not so much puff my chest but trying to help players by letting them know they need to know this.

I think the reason cheesehead got on you a little there is because it appears sometimes that you are dogging me. I don't quite understand why but it seems that way sometimes.

We all help players and are proud of what we do. In fact in your statement above you even puff your chest a little :

This is the same advice I gave to John Schmidt when I helped him figure out what to teach in the bflad clinics he did with Earl a few years ago...and it worked well for him.

That's OK. I'm not the judge and jury over what is to puffy or not.

I did not invent anything but just really figured out how the eyes naturally work. From doing this constantly for 3 or 4 years now I have become an expert in this field. I'm not puffing my chest but just stating a fact. I have even found a Doctor that showed me why Perfect Aim actually works. Doc hutch from New Orleans. The explaination will be in the new Perfect Aim video. Then everyone will know why and how for sure.

After my lesson today at Hawleys in Dallas with Larry from AZ I worked with a young man that has tried off and on to play pool but could never even get started. I wish I could have video taped it and put it on here.

This guy could hardly even hit the object ball with the cue ball about 4 feet away . I worked with him for 15 minutes showing him the dominant eye and how to correctly envision the shot. He was soon making this ball from 7 feet away right in the pocket.

His great big smile is all I got paid but that was all I was looking for. With just what I showed him he is on his way to being able to play pool. He can actually see what he is doing.

His case was extreme but all players have the same problem. If I have 100 players in the poolhall and line them up every single one would be saying WOW after learning Perfect Aim. And they would all agree that they had never seen this anywhere before. Even you Scott......

This is not puffing but just stating a fact.

I believe in this so much that I've stayed on the road now for about 5 or 6 months teaching this to everyone that I can with every lesson a home run.

If some of the players get on you for being critical of myself it's because they probably know Perfect Aim, how well it works and how much I enjoy sharing this with everyone. Can't blame them for trying to defend me.

Anyway, this thread was started to share my experiences that I face on the road teaching and playing in tournaments. Not arguing or trying to defend myself.

Someday, everyone will be teaching Perfect Aim. It's just the way it is.

It's like someone finally figured out how to show everyone how to shoot the gun.

If someone wants to learn it's there. If not they can still try to invent the wheel.

But that's why we teach. because it is so much easier to just learn something that has already been figured out .

I do get one very common complaint though. When I get done teaching someone in their 50, 60, 70's.

Where were you 30 years ago.........

Hey there Gene, I see you're here in Dallas. I'm finished with my filming now so maybe I'll come out and see you.

As always I'm hearing Great things about your lessons here. You certainly leave every place better than how you found it. Keep up the good work and we all thank you for "Positively Promoting Pool". "The Game is the Teacher' CJ Wiley

I still remember, Temple Lounge in Eau Claire, Wi

Hi there CJ,

It's fun to read your stuff on here. You've been there and done it all. Including coming to Eau Claire on a road trip when you were fairly young.

It was the first time I had ever seen a player jump a heavy red dot dynamo cue ball over a full ball consistently with a full cue.

It's kind of neat to see where we are now. Your doing what your doing which is great. I'm doing my thing.

I came here to Dallas to kind of heal up from a pesky ear infection. Staying out of the smoking poolhalls so it kind of limits my stops.

I'm leaving Wed.

It seems everytime we could talk I was either giving a lesson or one of us was playing or going to play.

We've both had poolrooms so we have looked at this pool world from the inside out and the outside in.

I enjoy the respect that players here on the forum have for you.

Good info you share and consistently correct. .

Good to have you on the forum and congrats as the Mosconi Cup leader.

Welcome back.........

Looking for a non smoking tournament this weekend.

I'm packing up in Dallas wed. I have a lesson at 1:30 and will be leaving after that.

Is there a tournament within 3 to 4 hours of Dallas this weekend that anyone knows about.

I know of one in Shrevesport, LA but they smoke there.

I need another week of clean air to breath and get my health back on track.

Wherever I go I will bring Perfect Aim with me for sure.

I'm going to start doing a new Guarantee with the lesson.

If the student has ever seen this anywhere else we can stop the lesson and I'll give them $50.

How that for a guarantee.

So far in 3 years I havn't found anyone so it's a pretty safe offer...

And the results are the same for everyone. WOW...

Hopefully the $50 will entice a few players to take a look. Once they see a little they will know that they need to know the whole Perfect Aim lesson because it is the real deal.

Did my lesson at 1:00 and got done about 5:00. Hurried up and drove to the poolhall. Blood sugar out of whack and felt real wore out.

Al was there and ready to play. He had a young guy there that he called his backer.

He told me the $200 freeze was off because he didn't know how long his backer would stick for $20 a game.

We switched to 2 different tables and the move was to get to the 9 footer. The reason for this was he had gotten a line on me from 20 years ago and found out I was a bar table player. That was back then.

I have no problem playing on this nine footer. It's pretty fast and need to learn the table.

Al jumps out in front with a 9 on the break and an easy combo after the break. It got back to even and then he would go back ahead a game or 2.

Then he plays real good for 3 games and has me stuck 3 games. I'm not too worried because i can see the writing on the wall. if he plays for another hour or 2 I will win at least $200 for the $20 a game.

I bear down and play a perfect run out on a tough rack. He unscrews his cue and says I quit. you play too good.

I said to him, you got to be kidding.

I paid him $40 for the 2 games he was up. We played a whole 30 minutes or so.

Not so good.

His little backer felt kind of bad and said he would call Robert and back him for the cash. I already beat Robert out of $400 about 5 days ago and still have $100 coming.

So that ain't goin to happen.

Oh well, this is the kind of thing that happen in the trenches at the local level. Just the nature of the beast.

Who knows, Al might be some killer from Maniller and could have won all my money but I doubt it.

I didn't get on the internet to get a line.

Al says to me on the way out the door. Your from Eau Claire, where is that. He just wanted to let me know how cool he was that he got a line on me. It did save him some cool money.

But he could have just taken one of my fliers and went to my website and saved alot of research.

I just play. I don't really try to sneak up on anyone.

One man a van and the road........

Hey Geno,
You mean to tell me that a pool player had a stake man for $20.00 a game!!! Unbelievable! The guy did not have the money to play you that cheap per game? Wow! Don't get me wrong Gene, I believe you. And you were looking forward to this match up. Sorry you got let down. Keep up the good work!
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

Ended up in Shrevesport, LA

Got into town about 7:00 PM. Went to Side Pockets and what a nice place.

Rows of bar tables and most of them full with leagues.

Plenty of room around the tables also. it's plain to see that the owner here is a pool player himself.

The tourny here starts on Sat. Looks like a good one with $1000 added.

"Al" missed out on the best opportunity of his life. He quits you to pocket $40 which he probably had to split with his stake horse.

Al could have invested some dough with you for a one on one lesson and that money would have been paying him for the rest of his life.

Some people don't mind throwing $200 away at the casino. The hem and haw about spending $200 on pool lessons that will enhance their opportunity to make more money than they will ever make from any other medium.

Oh well, some people just don't get it and some do. Safe travels to you Gene.

See you at White Diamonds Nov 3-4th (and stay out of the smoke).

Kind of a restful day.......

Lost my drivers license about a month ago. I think I gave it to a poolhall between here and Emerald Billiards for the balls and never got it back. I just sent for another with the DMV in Wi.

No poolhall will ever get my DL for the check out of balls. If their that worried about me paying for the time, they won't be getting any of my money. This is the third time I lost an ID this way in the last 15 years. That's 3 times too much. Once they sent it to me. the other time I just went and got a dup. The problem now is I'm a long ways from Wisconsin.

When I went into Side pockets I found out that if a customer does not have an ID it is a $500 fine for the bar tender.

Messed around on the computer too long getting things set up with Wisc. that I didn't get to the DMV to get an ID.

I don't know how that will work out. I have my DL number and my credit card and my Sams Club card with my picture but if I can't get an ID there will be ne lessons here or a tournament for me.

Anyone else comoing for the tournament better bring their ID. it's the law here.

I went to the police station here to find out what's up with the law and the officer at the front desk kind of told me it was pretty lame. he said it's not really enforced but they do go after the minors.

He said chances of an officer stopping into the poolhall and checking a 59 year old guy like me is close to zero and none.

But I had a room for 11 years and if someone in the law enforcement had it in for the owner here they could enforce this foolish law.

Kind of funny but the officer couldn't even tell me why I needed an ID.

I went to a little casino to check things out. You need an ID to get a card so you could be in there and gamble. They made me one from my credit card and my sams card and I gave them my drivers license number.

I guess their not too worried about it.

I also went to the other poolhalls in town and noone asked me about having an ID.

Oh well, if I can't get one I guess I will find somewhere else to go.

I don't let people hold onto my drivers licence or credit card either.I just tell em that those items belong on my person and it would be irresponsible for me to let someone else take charge of them.

Also have had a few people quit ahead on me of late.Just the other day I was playing a stranger 1P for 10.He was playing perfect and got up 4 games,I stayed on him because I thought I could beat him allthough I had no idea who he was or how he plays. In the 5th game I picked a ball out of the stack and ran a few, that seamed to shake him up and I won the next 2 games.so he says to me "I got time for 1 more game"(it was his break). It was a bad bet for me to play just 1 more so I ended up quiting stuck 2 games.

I have never quit anyone ahead,I even stayed late before when I have had an early start at work.More then once I declared the match even because I had to leave earlier then expected and didn't want to quit ahead.

You can usually tell when some1 is going to pull some gambling BS on ya.When the guy said he couldn't lock up 200 that may have been a sign.

I was disappointed but.....

I was disappointed but he could quit anytime he wanted too. I just thought our game would last a little longer. We must have played 12 games or so.

My reaction to him was; you got to be kidding. His reply was just silence.

I put the $40 on the table and he picked it up like he thought there should be more like he needed to count it or it wasn't the right amount. Hard to make a mistake. 2 games at $20 per game is $40.

A stayed a gentleman and just unscrewed and left.

I pretty sure he was juiced up pretty good. That's to bad but it's pretty obvious what controls his life. I hope he gets it figured out someday.

I kind of feel sorry for the poor guy.

learned to do it with some guidance from Dalton (one of my original mentors)

Hey there Gene, yeah are timing hasn't been coordinated yet. I heard you made a lot of players here in Dallas happy and I'm glad to hear that.

Eau Claire seemed like so long ago, I was 18 traveling with Dalton Leong and had heard about 'LiL' Earl jumping the cue ball over other balls and learned to do it with some guidance from Dalton (one of my original mentors who had been around Earl Strickland and saw him jump balls). I still remember playing you though, you were tough as nails in that little bar we played in. We did really well up in that area because SO MANY people played and gambled back then.

Good luck at White Diamonds, I'm working on this deal with Fox Sports so I won't be able to leave Dallas for a few weeks. Maybe if this works out you can come back for a few days, teach and there's still a lot of players to match up with as well. Dallas/Ft. Worth is still a great place to play and gamble (unless your me lol). Be safe on the road and I'll see ya soon.

If there is anything I can do to help I will. Even being the water boy. :rolleyes

I can see our pool world is fortunate to have you on their side.

It's great to see yourself making something happen.

Good luck again..........

The smoke killed me tonight........

Geno, are you gonna be at in Lafayette at White Diamond next weekend for the Calcutta?

They had a tourny here at Side Pockets and it got late so they paid me first place. I was waiting to see who i got to play and Robert the owner just paid me and said let's get out of here. it was after closing at that time. I felt so bad I couldn't have beat my sister. I played my match before this real bad.

I got real sick, weak and shakey and my blood sugar skyrocketed to about 200 after about 4 hours in the smoke. And I never ate more than what I usually do. Shocker. It's definitely from breathing in that smoke.

I think maybe White Diamond might be the last chance of seeing me in the south until they get it figured out and get rid of the smoke.

The need to stay alive is overriding being in the south where these great tournys are.

What a great poolhall though. Robert really has a nice setup here. If someone was going to set one up they need to look at this one for sure.

It sounds like the place is packed every night with leagues.

Got to get to sleep. Calcutta at 12:00 and the tourny will start at 1:00. That means it will probably start at 2:00/

I'm sleeping until 12:30 and taking my chances to get enough rest.

Never know.........

Do you have any plans to come to va or the super billiard expo in march?

I'm going to White Diamonds this next weekend.

Oklahoma city after that and then Olathe.

Not sure that far out but I wouldn't say no for sure.

The mew video should be done and that would be a great place to set up distributors and there will be plenty there.

Once this gets rolling around and more players realize this is the real deal and will help every player tremendously it will be crazy.

The hard part is there is so much junk out there that players have to sift through to find a nugget that they don't see the ROCK.

And Perfect Aim is the Rock..........

All I can say is maybe.............

Side pockets in Shreveport, busiest poolhall I've seen in months.

After the tournament this weekend I went down to do a free seminar for the leagues. There were 2 leagues and when i got there I could not find a parking spot. It was packed.

I went inside and there were no dart teams there and no poker tournament. It was all pool players.

Roger has one heck of a business here. If someone is thinking about opening a poolhall they should come here and see what he is doing.

I'm doing the free seminar for the leagues on Tuesday and Wed also.

Roger told me the busiest nights are Wed and Thursday. Unreal.

I'm going to have to come back here and finish doing all the Perfect Aim lessons.

After White Diamonds this weekend it will be right back up here to Side Pockets in Shreveport.

Like a diamond in the rough...............

I heard that was a great pool room

It's off to see the wizard............

What's really fun about this teaching is it's different everyday.

I'm new and the players are all new. It's really fun for me meeting all the different characters out here.

Yesterday I met a man that was 6'8" tall. Was in a motorcycle accident. Lost a leg. Had an artificial shoulder out in, puctured lung and years of pain. I could really relate to that.

I really enjoyed teaching him some of Perfect Aim. To see the enthusiasm that he had for the game was great. He would get out of the chair on one leg to shoot. He's waiting for his prosthetic leg to get done. Each time I would set up a shot he would wheel around the table and get in position so he could be in line when he got out of the chair. Never complained but was very enthusiastic about what he was learning.

Another gal was diabetic like me and was pretty heavy. Her problem was her body would get in the way so her head couldn't get in the right position. I got her to tilt her head way over sideways and she could now make the shot.

There are so many players out here on the local level out here that just want to play pool.

If I ever get rich, which doesn't look like it will ever happen, I will continue to do what I do.

Not building champions but helping these players on the local level play the game they love just a little bit better.

Fortunately I have something that helps every player play allot netter in a real short period of time. Like almost immediately.

And then there was Calvin. look out for this guy. He can already play and already knew that the eyes were the problem. Once he saw Perfect aim and understood what was going on there will be no stopping him.

Will he go play on the Pro tour. I doubt it. Like most local players he has a great job. But he will make it real tough on the other locals that don't know Perfect Aim. This guy is a competitor and a real nice guy.

And when they have another big tourny here he will be right in the mix.

Remember this name. Calvin......

I''ll be at Side Pockets tonight doing a seminar for the league tonight.

Call at 715-563-8712 to set up a time for a personal lesson.

I gave up trying to schedule them all before I leave for White Diamond in Lafayette. Have to schedule out until next week. i will be back.

One man a van and the road..............
