On The Road Again with Perfect Aim....

Playing in the Open probably cost him about $1500. Big hit with no $ coming in from aiming lessons for a week or so. Never mind making sure Rhea don't go off, Gene better watch that Gene don't go off. Johnnyt

I won 100 off gene

But I felt bad he lost hill hill to get In the money in the tourney

You're a good guy if you feel bad for Gene losing on hill-hill. Hill-hill matches should be extended to two ahead. A hill-hill loss does suck.

Even the player who won, knows that the difference between winning and losing the match is often only separated by a mere glance from Lady Luck.

Nothing like a great Perfect Aim lesson to lift up the spirits........

I lost a nail biter to John demet. being behind the whole match i finally got in control. Got ahead 10-9.

Was shooting the 8 ball in the side for shape on the nine and came off 2 rails to scratch.

Then got into a safety battle and won the war only to miss a fairly tough shot to win the match. I felt pretty bad I didn't really get down on the shot and focus the way i should of.

The whole match was really tough. I didn't sleep well the night before. I don't know why i couldn't sleep. I woke up about 5,000 times.

Went back to the room and tried to rest. Then I checked my voice mail and Dave from Charlotte NC had driven over for a Perfect Aim lesson.

It was just what the doctor ordered for me.

As I turned around to go back to bed for a few hours I looked and there was Rhea in bed. She asked me what time it was and i told her about 1:30 PM. She told me that she lost $65 playing pool and the time was about $26. Not a huge lose but a loss just the same and now wore out. Now add up $20 for some poolhall food and we lose about $110. Do that everyday for a month and you're out about $3,300. Not good if you want to continue on the road.

Back to bed for now..............

Dave wanted to watch Shannon Daltons match and then head over to Q masters for a lesson. I got there early and played some pool with one of our own AZer's, Neil, and had a great time until Dave got there for the lesson.

The nice thing about me being on the road is when I get banged up in a tournament and feel real bad I can count on helping someone else to get feeling a little better.

Even though I don't feel i have enough practice many times to play in events around the country i take the losses just as hard. Inside I'm not a very good loser and beat myself up pretty bad.

Rhea was with me at Q masters and wanted to stay there and play all night. I told her to go ahead against my better judgement.

She had already lost $20 playing one pocket which wasn't much but she was playing some guy $5 a game 9 ball and was stuck about $15 when i left.

She wants to play so bad but this playing until you drop thing really serves no purpose here on the road. The table time of $6 an hour is bad enough but I'm sure she will lose some money especially being so tired.

The biggest reason I let her do this is to talk about it today and ask her what it accomplished except for getting real tired and having a little less money.

Overall, What a day.

Lose out in the US Open, Play a little pool, give a great lesson to a young man that drove 6 hours to do it and put my one the road student in a learning situation that will hopefully teach her that this is not the way to go.

Play until you drop attitude.

Doing lessons today. Will be here for a few more days for sure.

Anyone that wants to learn Perfect Aim and get playing the best pool of their life give me a call. I won't leave until I get to you.

Thanks for all the support guys.

I agree. Johnnyt

Geno I really think you played well in the tournament. I'm not sure how your lesson thing went in Greensboro but you might want to consider the Charlotte and surrounding area. Be happy to check on the local rooms for you.

By lady luck that could have come in the first game. Why don't we just change every little thing about the game and turn it into something none of us can recognize anymore. Wouldyou behappy then.

By nature, I'm a happy guy already and I don't need anything else to be happy.

I was just empathizing and sharing my feelings about hill-hill losses. It seems that you are the one being a bit disconsolate.

Yes, I'd be happy if there were NO pro 9 ball tournaments. The shape of the rack has always been a problem and even worse with all the players today that know all the tricks to it. Then you have it made much easier with Texas express which should have stayed in Texas. The game is a joke now. Johnnyt

I apoligize for my tone , it just seems like someones always trying to reinvent the wheel.

Gene, I'm going to guess for you his name was Neal Nida. I was your lesson last night. I sent a friend your way too today named Gary. I hope he was able to get in touch with you today for a lesson :)

Sure did there mr Dave,

Gene, I'm going to guess for you his name was Neal Nida. I was your lesson last night. I sent a friend your way too today named Gary. I hope he was able to get in touch with you today for a lesson :)

It worked out Perfect.

I have the afternoon and evening full.

I'm meeting Gary at 10:00 at Q Masters.

Thanks again my friend and good luck.................

Good day today............

Only got about 7 hours of sleep but it was good sleep.

Rhea kept her hands off the air conditioner buttons so the room didn't over heat.

When she woke up I went over what happened the day before and told her that we had to do things different. She was complaining about there not being nobody her speed to play.

I told her that there had to be.

The first game she got today was a race to 7 with a young guy that worked there. She won $30 there.

Then a guy that I was giving a Perfect Aim mini lesson to stepped up and played her some $30 race to 3 one pocket. She had won 2 sets when I left and was ahead the third.

So much for nobody to play.

If this guy keeps playing she might win a couple of hundred. This is what she has to do in order to play. Be careful about matching up. These players don't know how she plays and by playing the tough ones and losing, blowing the softer action, she needs to play these guys first.

I'm back at the room getting ready for bed to do a lessons at 11:00 at Q Masters to start out the day. Got another at 4 and another at 8:00.

Finals of the US Open are tomorrow and it looks like I will miss it.

Just got the room in Virginia beach another week..........

Sounds like ya'll are getting PUMPED TO THE GILLS! What time will ya'll be arriving in Indy?

Set up about 4 lessons today.

Going to talk to barry tomorrow about working with the leagues to give mini perfect Aim lessons.

Pretty tired. Rhea had some action for $50 per rack and couldn't win because she was too tired. Lost $200. Stayed at the poolhall all night. slept a little on one of the couches there and got up and started playing again. she said she didn't know how long she slept.

I did 2 lessons today and made about $100 playing small sets. good for me to try and stay in stroke a little bit. Tough call because my shoulder feels like it is going to fall off right now.

Hope it feels better tomorrow but it probably won't. it usually takes about 3 days of not playing to start feeling better. Right now when i take a big stroke it just doesn't work right. I miss the ball like a foot. Pretty frustrating.

Got to get some sleep.
