Jeff Abernathy can't name 5 men who he feels should beat her. LOL...she definately has his number.

I like the way you work, sir. I just love this thread. If you're not around a lot of action, it seems impossible. But, just set it up.hemicudas said:My first post on AZ years ago was a challenge to any woman on earth to play Reed Pierce a 10 ahead set for $10K. No takers. Seems people were scared of a guy that 13 years ago won the US Open.
I got a new one for ya. I will let, Jamie Farrell, play a 15 ahead set of 9 ball against any woman you guys want to put in the box on a 9' Diamond Pro table for the same $10k,,,,,,,,OR MORE. I know Karen or Allison can not be afraid of that name as they were, Reed Pierce. In fact, Jamie, is probably not in the top 500 players in the world.
Call me nuts,,,,,,,,,maybe,,,,,,,,,,,,,but just call me. I will not argue the point with anyone on here. That didn't work last time. I will put up the cash. PM me and we can work out the details.

I assume that you sponsor Kelly Fisher? Amirite? If not, I have an idea for your next case for her. Whatcha think?
JB Cases said:Pretty Good - and truthful if you take Brian's word for it. Of course he won't actually give her what she "needs" (according to him of never ever claims) cause that might be gambling.
I don't sponsor Kelly. But I wouldn't hesitate to put her in the box if she wants to play.
But I won't do it by remote control either.
This case might be better though:

If there were no womens tours and the ladies had to play stricly with the men, then there wouldn't be any women playing in a year or two because they would be broke. If that seems disrepectful to anyone then so be it, but it is the plain truth.
iba7467 said:Tedder v. Josh where play is dead even for 9 hours until Josh is allowed to take a power nap and destroys Tedder in under an hour.
JB Cases said:It's true. You think they don't know that? That's why they have their own tour. The amateurs and lower class players also have their own tour.
But IF there as many women playing as there are men and without the tudes and the ugliness then there would definitely be a comparable number of elite players of both genders.
That doesn't mean however that there aren't women right now who are as good or could be as good as the top men. There are. But they have no incentive to try to prove that they are when they make a good living doing what they do and the men offer nothing but crappy attitudes about playing them and less money.
I find it absolutely hilarious that a wheelchair player can enter the US Open but a woman cannot. I find it funny that the US Open AND the UPA would take money from a Man who puts down $500 entry fee whether he can play or not but then excludes women from playing.
You all ***** about how women can't compete and then you don't DEMAND from the powers that be - such as they are - that women be allowed to compete. YOU are the ones who are partly to blame for holding them back.
Now, whine about the women having a league of their own where the men are not allowed in. Well we all know that on avergage women are weaker players - the women know this. So if it's fair to have a Wheelchair tour, and a C and B player's tour, and handicapped leagues where certain players are excluded then it's certainly fair for the women to have a league of their own.
What is NOT FAIR is for the men to exclude any players who want to compete. The men are the best, everyone knows that, so whty are they afraid to allow women to compete? Why is the UPA afraid to allow women to compete.
Kelly wanted to play on the UPA and was told she could not because she has breasts. I said what if Kelly renounces the WPBA and was told no, she would not be allowed to play on the UPA.
So next time you want to speak the "truth" about the disparity between women and men's skill levels in pool perhaps you ought to consider who is promoting that disparity.
corvette1340 said:lol, those are actually pretty good. I just wanted you to stop backtracking and quit trying to change the games on Brian. Also, why are you downing him so much? He only stated his opinion and stood by it. I am not his backer only his friend and it seems that a lot more people agree with his statements in this thread than they do of yours. Also, if you would like to make me a case with a corvette on it I will play for JB cases in all the handicap c and d tourneys from now on. K, thanks.
JB Cases said:I am not changing the game. Brian never made a game beyond 20 ahead. I offered games. I said 10 ball and snooker. Surely those two games are cool with both players. Kelly has almost zero experience with ten ball, it's considered to be tougher than nine ball, most people here think it should be the PRO game. Brian certainly has more experience than Kelly in this area.
Snooker is something Kelly does have experience at although she is pretty rusty now. However Brian's should be able to overcome Kelly's experience with superior firepower.
So a fair test in my opinion is something that Brian has more experience at and something Kelly has more experience at.
I think you need to reread the thread Vette and figure out what my opinions are before you state that more people agree with Brian's than mine. I certainly don't think that more people believe that all the top men will win every 7 ahead set they play against women. If they do then I will jsut bet that and bet high. I will let Kelly play any player you choose and they will play 100 seven ahead sets and the bet is that Kelly will not win one single one.
That's the statement I most disagree with. The never ever absolutes.
I have been around top notchers all my life and Kelly, Allison and Karen are all top notch players. I think Kelly has the most firepower out of the three but not the consistency yet.
Sorry Corvette I only sponsor top players - that way I know my cases will get "distributed"
Peace.

Yet, no mention of all the Pinoys, Chinese, ect., that our top pros had their hands full with while over there. There probably are 500 men better WORLD-WIDE. But doubtful for just over here.
corvette1340 said:I'm not sure why some of the powers that be exclude women from participating in their tournaments. I do know that none of the men complain about the women playing because they don't mind the donation. Sure, Karen or Allison or any other woman might place high in an event or two and that is fine, more power to them. In fact, I always congratulate them because they obviously played good in that tournament. I am simply stating that in the long run, women cannot compete with the men. It's basically the same in poker. Anyone can win for a week or two or maybe a month, and anyone can win a tournament, but in the long run the better player is gonna get the cash and the weaker player is gonna go bust.
JB Cases said:Anyway, I will try to put myself in a position to promote the Kelly Fisher vs. Brian White match. The worst I can do is go broke and if I do then I can pump back up easily enough. The payoff however IF Kelly wins would be fantastic and that is incentive enough for me to try.

I have lost cases a few times. How's this for knocking my own action?
I agree to play Ronnie Wiseman a race to eleven for $300 against one of my cases - even no spot. Basically I am just getting odds on the money. We do this in the Cue Club in Vegas and the rail is sweating the match.
Ronnie gives me the break and I run five racks out of the gate. Then I come up dry in the sixth and never see another makeable ball until the score is like 9:5 his way. He leaves me a medium distance straight in shot and I shoot it into the rubber a diamond away from the pocket. I lose 11:5.
A few days later I am trying to match up in the CC and ALL I hear is how I played Ronnie and I have to give up weight and yada yada yada. No one cared that I lost. All I heard about was the five pack I put on Ronnie.
Pool is a funny world.
