E-bay is fickle at times. When new these set-ups were quite expensive but are little used today. They were mostly used in a manufacturing environment where very many of the same parts were being turned. With the advent of CNC with automatic tool changers these became obsolete. The rubber-flex collets are not quite as accurate as the steel collets but they are still more accurate than a scroll chuck if the closer is properly installed. I have a 12X40 jet lathe with a collet set-up on it and use it for facing and little else. I use my other lathes for most all other operations. I bought my set up on e-bay that was removed from a Hardinge lathe. The guy just cut the entire nose of the spindle off and had all of the steel collets. I got all of the collets from 1/4 inch through 1-3/8 inch in 1/16 inch increments and the closer and nose. I gave 125.00 for the works. I like the collet set up but I wish I would have installed it on another lathe as the Jet as it is a really nice lathe and now is getting minimal use.

ebay is fickle. One time I listed a cue brought 2400$. Buyer stiffed me so I relisted immediatly and got zero bids. I was so mad I relisted a third time and got 2800$. Worked out well. Somtimes its hard to sort throught all the sh1t and find the gold

Got the package this am. Man did you use a whole roll of tape on that thing. had to go 3 clicks on the snap off to get it open. Top notch man. Rep to you.

Lady at the post office said I am not even going to ask what is in here. As she looks at the bucket and hermetically sealed tape job. I think I freaked her out when I told her it was a head.... She turned white as a ghost.
