We had this cue before, and we have it again on consignment, I will take some new pics...

Oddities:
Joint: 5/16-14 thread, old linen phenolic collar with .050 silve ring
Points: Boti, and perfect or damn near it. (height-wise)
Wedge: Has stacked veneers above butt cap. Only one I have seen this way
Butt cap: Delrin, NOT Palmer plastic
Weight bolt: 5/16 Hex 82 degreen x 2 1/2" lg

So this cue remains an enigma for a clear cut maker. Cue was x-rayed, A joint screw seems to indicate a 7/16 or 1/2" screw about 5-6" long. Could not make out the appearance of a buzz ring.

Interesting to say the least... Last picture is a standard Palmer wedge assembly

Joe,

That wedge cue brings back memories. Al tho not the same cue, the second cue I owned was a Palmer wedge. The first one was a Bradlees special that cost about $ 12.00. The time frame is about 1970. I was playing at a local bowling alley at the time and was the cock of the walk. I was beating everyone from 15 to 90 years old. One day a player came in with a Palmer. Man did he pin my ears back. He was in his 30's and I was 15 at the time. I blamed my cue for loosing to him. After all he had a more expensive cue so that had to be the reason.(lol) I then went to the big city to buy a Palmer (Manchesterr NH). I couldn't believe the price of Palmers, $60 to $140. I had $39 dollars on me. They had a used old Palmer wedge cue with a chipped MOP inlay for $35. I bought it. That cue was a great hitting beast. It served me well trough my time in the USAF. I won a lot of $$$ in the day rooms on the bases I was sent to. That type of cue holds a special place in my memories. I think I need another one.
Great cue Joe.
