From that angle has anybody thot about throwing the 14-2-11 into the 13?? Looks real close to me. Hit it with the right speed and lock his pocket up with an ugly jam of 9-12. There I go with my 14:1 background again. What do I know.Rene's specialty was banking the 5ball 1 rail into the top of the 9 and then pocketing the 7. Cueball runs thru and he then shoots the 5 or possibly the 13 next.

My one hole break is the only one I stand up for. Force of habit or something else entirely?? Tight rack and solid 2nd with inside and corner ball drops1- 2 out of ten breaks when I stand. Some days more often. The entire break seems to be affected by my erect stance. Somehow. Noone has ever been able to tell me why. I have ideas, but...Cue ball placement on the break in 1P is dictated by the table conditions, how clean the balls are and the breakers ability to graze the head ball with inside english accurately.

Wanna take a shot PJ??
Nice creativity, but the problem is speed - the 2-11 is such a thin cut that you'd need a lot to move the 13 at all. The upside is you can probably jack up and stop the cue ball safe behind the 6.From that angle has anybody thot about throwing the 14-2-11 into the 13?? Looks real close to me. Problem is most play rerack if you make a ball on the break. My break to make a ball is my best break wether the ball goes or not.My one hole break is the only one I stand up for. There was a wiry long hair hippie type they told me was Surfer Rod - didn't look anything like the photos of said, but the glimpse I did get of him was some 1 hole game where he matter of factly pulled off a nice banked combination along the bottom rail.Rene was a good short stop level 1 pocket player in the dfw area. If you watched him bank balls off other balls like the 5-9 you would understand why I posted that is the shot he would shoot and would execute the 5 off the 9 perfectly. He may not make the 7 but I guarantee you that would be his shot.
In PJ's pic? I break half again closer to the rail with similar results. Lotsa curve. I aim directly at the middle ball in the back row so I don't really know where the contacts are. Perfect on Stevens type cloth but I didn't change anything on Simonis except the speed.I was thinking the AimPoint pictured was pretty spot on, and I use regular maple
The 11 would nick the 6 further thinning the hit on the already thin 10, 8 with no cover for anything out in the open.
Interesting idea. Too bad there's no good way to practice it live. On VP with minimized pockets - 100 tries? From that angle has anybody thot about throwing the 14-2-11 into the 13?? Only the obvious:
- better view
- better stroke
You tell us...

Not so obvious to me. My stroke seems the same and I can find the 2nd ball in a blizzard so that's not an issue.Only the obvious:

Perhaps one day soon they'll have AI software for things like this that could reset the balls identical to the original position and calculate the odds of a certain shot paying off. Run it again and again to see which are the most effective outs.Interesting idea. Too bad there's no good way to practice it live. On VP with minimized pockets - 100 tries?![]()
I wonder if people could survive an actual holodeck like the one on Starch Rek.Perhaps one day soon they'll have AI software for things like this that could reset the balls identical to the original position and calculate the odds of a certain shot paying off. VP4 doesn’t calculate odds, but it can reset a shot with the press of a key so you can visualize and shoot it over and over.Perhaps one day soon they'll have AI software for things like this that could reset the balls identical to the original position and calculate the odds of a certain shot paying off.
