One Pocket Shark at DCC

I noticed at the DCC TAR, one notable high dollar match had me confused. One player stood by the table, wiped his cue and face with a white towel, put chalk on the table, counted balls, moved in front of the shooter, etc. continuously as the opponent was shooting. The shooter asked him politely several times to give him the respect of a fair game but it seemed to continue.

Is this just part of the gamble?

sounds like the guy knew he was going to lose and had to try to get any advantage possible........ what a sucker

You are talking about Harry Platus, I saw the same thing, even stopped the match at 5-5 going to 6. He had been ahead 5-2 and his opponent caught up with him. He sure knows all the moves, that is for sure.

If you are talking about Harry Platis, he gets a free ride on sharking with the amount of money he puts in action, and it's not like he ever has the nuts:D

Absolutely, 100% correct.

If you guys know any other multimillionaires that match up with non-champions, getting spotted 9-6 in One Pocket, and keep putting money in action despite having an 80% lose percentage, then go tell Harry to stop sharking his opponents.

:D :D :D

Harry can shark me anytime, and he has! The best move is to go ahead and shoot him down. He got pretty quiet after I ran eight banks on him the first night. ;)

"Freddy the Beard"

Is that as good as the Beard's sharking... though technically he was not sharking since his opponent shot already. Freddy was in the banks tourny, and as soon as his opponent took his shot, Freddy was already out of his chair before the ball hits the short rail ready to come down the long rail.
The ball only misses the pocket by a few inches, but Freddy knew it before it hit the first rail. That has to be a little demoralizing when your opponent knows you missed the shot before you did !! Pretty funny stuff. What do you say, "hey, sit down until I officially miss !!".... I know if I tried that I know the ball would some how, some way drizzle into the pocket and I'd look like an idiot !!

I think the guy got "bearded".... You can't teach that stuff !! Freddy, I thought I had to mention this because i found it pretty hilarious. Hope you don't mind !!

PS: Later Freddy went hill/ hill with Bustamante and and then in 5th game, both needed one ball for the match.... Busty won, but what a match to sweat !! And then Freddy's protege wins the banks ring game.... Way to go Jett !!!!!
