One pocket today

I may come down to Felt and play you some $5 one pocket. I am a novice so probably am paying to get a cheap lesson.
Nothing wrong with that.

I been on both ends of that kind of action. That’s what will make you a better player. Staying in action.

Good luck!

Getting a chance to play/know Measureman is a good thing. He is a wealth of knowledge and drills long straight in shots. On rotation...if you don't run out, he will.

Some things I’m learning to focus on. I’m not a great ball runner so I have to stay on my toes otherwise.
Trapping
Turn Defense to Offense
Be controlled but aggressive with stronger players.
Play the score.
Risk - rewards
Get balls into my quadrant. Stay motivated.
Take a foul if called for
Look for caroms.
Playing position..Play for multiple shots. Do not play one and done and trap myself.
Control the cue each and every time

1p does not get old. I consider myself a C player but can play a respectable game in my class. I do not gamble… simply love the game. It renewed my interest in pool. Always learning. I’m lucky to live near Tom Wirth. Learning and being at the table with Tom has been very good fortune on my end.
That’s a great checklist! 10-4 on Tom Wirth.

I did buy the Tom Wirth book last week so watch out LOL...
You just improved!!! The most important thing Tom stresses is stay POSITIVE. Stay current and stay in the game. Learn how to win. Some shots are taken simply to stay alive. I watched a match where Tom is down 6 to 3 with the 7th ball hanging in his opponents pocket. Tom turned the game around and won.
One Pocket is too much fun. Something is learned each and every game.

I borrowed this from 1p.org (It's not getting returned)
