i took off .080 dickie . i got it under control now. instead of irish linen , i'll use clothesline.rhncue said:If you went in .040 then you cut a groove iether .020 or .040 deep depending how the increments are set on your particuler lathe. By cutting .040 you also took off iether .040 or .080 off the diameter of the cue. If you have a slow turning lathe that you can leave on until the epoxy hardens then it will be a very simple repair to build up the ends a little and recutting to proper depth. I would use 2-ton epoxy instead of 5-minute even though it takes much longer to dry as it gets much harder when dry.
