Opinion Needed

So I just got a new J. Pechauer on Friday and I don't like the way the black linen wrap looks on it at all. I've posted some pictures below and I would like some opinions on not only the cue, but on what wrap I should get on it (linen, leather, color, print?). As you can see in the pictures, the cue has a curly maple forearm and butt sleeve, the windows and the points are ivory with mother of pearl inlays, and there are cocobola veeners on the points and the windows. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

I second that

Black with white specks doesn't have much imagination, IMO. I would go for a brownish color close to the COCO too. The white and black naturally stand out because of the contrast, too much so, IMO. The brown wrap would help in making the white and black parts more as accessory colors instead of the main focus.

If you want to go with a linen wrap i'd like a white with either brown or walnut brown specks which I think would look good with the colors on your cue and if the price isn't a consideration then a brown lizard wrap in a color to match the cocobola would look great.

Send it to Ryan (RAT cues) and have him install a stack leather wrap. There were a few posts of his work. Really made the cue stand out.

i love the way stack letather feels but you can't go wrong with one piece either. i love how cumfortable it feels

I also agree with this opinion. I had a Schon for years with very similar colors and when I changed the wrap form black with white specs to white with walnut brown specs, it really made the cue pop and look much better. I'll search and see if I have any old pictures to show you.

Try Jimmy Sickles at SicklesCustomCues.com. I looked through his selection of brown leathers this past weekend and he had a ton of choices. He is known for doing an awesome leather wrap and best of all, he is about 25 percent cheaper than everyone else. He is an extremely nice guy also. It was a pleasure meeting him this past weekend and I am getting ready to send him my Mottey to put a brown alligator on...

He is known for doing an awesome leather wrap and best of all, he is about 25 percent cheaper than everyone else. He is an extremely nice guy also. A brown lizard, alligator or snake type wrap would look great on this cue if you ask me! I wish Pechauer would get some variety in their wraps. I'm pretty sure they could still get a bulk discount on the other colors!
