You know, I've felt bad, even kind of guilty while I've seen all this go on. Trust me, I know it's not my fault but I was involved & I do hate to see the way things turned out. I'm not an argumentative person, but I do have a short fuse at times. My saving grace is that I will acknowledge when I am wrong, or try to make amends.

I know I haven't been a member here very long but I've found for the most part that is not an issue. What I have found is many people who are helpful, encouraging & just downright entertaining! For someone who has been out of the pool world for awhile, never mind is now playing in a different country, this site is a blessing!

I can now say that I'm glad to see things seem to be getting back to normal here. It was a shame to see so much bitterness over the holidays.

If I sound like I'm kissing some butt, then maybe I am, but it's a big ole AZB one, 'cos you all deserve it!

Dave, I posted a response on Saturday night, to tedkaufman, as I state above. I remember seeing my post count at 2799 afterward and wondered if I would ever make 2800 because of the post. I come back the next day and it is gone (post count at 2798) and it shows that you edited ted's post to remove the swearing. I made an assumption that you removed my post at the same time.

You can challenge me all you want and I have no recourse. How can a person with no mod capabilities prove what was posted or not posted, deleted or not deleted? We can't and you know it.

You haven't singled me out and I have tried to avoid making anything personal toward you as a person. My comments were intended to criticize moderator actions. If you choose to make it personal, that is out of my control. I can't see where stating that a moderator deleted a post or suggested to a well know cue maker that they go to usenet was any of the phrases that I highlighted above.

Dave, you win. You knew that when you posted the above. You have effectively called me a liar, a trouble-causer and the source of more friction on the board. And there is not a damn thing I can do about it.

Well, there is one. Looks like you've three-fouled me and you have ball in hand. See ya . . . . .
Now I see that my post count has gone up to 2887. That effectively makes my statement about post counts above look like a lie, since I have not posted a single time since my count was right around 2800.

This has turned into a 3-card monte game which I can only lose by playing.

Well my friend, anyone who REALLY knows you, knows that you have integrity beyond most.
I guess in a perverse kind of way I do have to thank Mike and Dave because through this forum I have made some lifelong friends that I will continue to call friends long beyond my postings on AzBilliards.
Anyone who knows me knows that my friends and family come first, period. With that said, I can't stick around here with a clear conscious if someone like Scott is perceived as a liar. It would be like me saying that it's ok and it is NOT.

There are plenty of other posters here that, given the opportunity, I would have loved to have met but that will probably not be the case. To anyone going to Valley Forge, I hope to see you there and have a couple of drinks together.
Here's to a healthy and prosperous new year.

Kind regards,

Too funny!! See you at Valley Forge, with cue-buying money in hand!! :)

Maybe already stated

I did not read through every single post on this topic so I apologize if this is has already been addressed. I think another issue that causes friction on this message board is the inability for many posters to distinguish what SHOULD be a PRIVATE conversation. Start using the private message system just to b*tch back and forth endlessly. Why tie up the message board with all that drama? Its like the people talking on a cell phone in front of you at the grocery store talking endlessly about their hemmorhoids. Who wants to hear that? I just suggest that if you are going to go off subject and just bicker back and forth do it in private. Unless of course you have some self esteem issues and need everyone to know every personal detail of some transaction or event in your life. Then go ahead and keep it here. We love to read 14 pages about a "ping" in your cue you got off Ebay...NOT! ... Call the BBB and be done with it. Sheesh. Pool does not have the best of reputations. Hopefully there are more people being part of the solution and not part of the problem.

Now I feel better having vented. My $.02 :)

I'll hook up with you two guys there.... Hook up in a buddy-type beer drinking context, not to be derrived in any other fashion.

I can't even begin to comment. My toungue tastes pretty good though... I'll just keep biting...

I have no idea what you are talking about.

If you're trying to suggest I've somehow created 87 posts for you, you'll need to explain how for me.

The three card monte snipe, I guess is another compliment on my character.

Personally I think Dave is doing a great job and keep up the good work. This is a great place to learn and share your billiard related knowledge. Moderator is something I would never want anything to do with. Just having to deal with people who hijack my threads, is more than I can handle. Don't need or want to deal with the drama that comes up all too often.

This thread should've been locked a long time ago....
You got that right. All these threads should be closed down......this one.....the R.I.P. Jimbo thread and any others like it. Nothing good can come of them, they're like ticking time bombs waiting for the next banning IMO.

I don't know vBulletin software, so I can't answer your challenge to explain the ins and outs of managing the site.

As I stated in my PM, Dave.... you win. You hold all the cards and cannot be beat. Like your signature, you are looking for the nut and now you got the nut and I guess you are/should be happy.

I have never said anything about your character; only your actions as a moderator.

Scott, the other side of that same coin;

I asked you to back up your claims and that somehow infers that you are dishonest. Do I deserve the same privelege of questioning your actions as a poster?

Just think about it for a while.
