Opinion's on the OB Break cue

The OB break cue is the best on the market. The new technology is simply just the best!!!
Hey man, I have a cheap Diveney I picked up recently that I would trade for that OB break. I'd need a few hundred in cash, a JVC cd player, & a single-butt case too. AAAWWW SNAP!

I'm not sure if I said this before, but this is the finest cue I have ever shot with. Big props to OB.

Has anyone tried a BK2 retipped with the Samsara tip yet? I'd love to know if the "improvement" everyone is seeing is due to the design of the cue, or if it's as simple as the tip being highly compressed leather instead of phenolic. Any opinions on the BK2 w/Samsara tip combo?

i replaced my BK2 tip with the Samsara and it's been great. no loss of power, but a lot better control. that said, I still want to get an OB Break cue! :)

OB Break Shaft

I am strongly considering giving one of these a try ! After watching John Morra destroy many racks with this break cue I was impressed to say the least

I would like to hear opinions on this new break cue .

Thanks ... Larry :)

I purchased an OB Break Shaft for my BK2 Break Cue. I like the OB Break Shaft much better and am squatting the cue ball more often.

My regular practice partner says I am hitting the balls with more force. ???

If he would give me a good rack every time, I would make a ball on every break. ;)

I got one of Royce prototype break shafts a long time ago (can't remember when)
and I liked it a lot. I played at that time with my original Sledgehammer.
The OB break shaft was used on my old McDermott "Heartbreaker" B&J
cue and I felt I had much more control on the break then with the "SledgH".

I finally received a batch of the final products including the new break stick
and I have to say that there is for sure a difference. The old McDermott with
the prototype shaft is now parked and the new gun is the new OB breakstick.
I can't put the finger on what's different but I'm able to freeze the white
on the 9ball break now - almost every time - including putting the wing ball.
This might be to the low deflection construction of the new butt section which
is also laminated (different than the shaft though).

We had a tourney for the top ranked players over here in our end (this weekend)
and I brought the cue with me for some of these top players to try out.
The feedback was tremendous - one did put his BK2 immediately in the
local "for sale" pages and bought one on the spot. Another BK2 user was
impressed that he could jump with the full length cue and was eager on
a change as well.

Yesterday we had the normal pool night and one local player was comparing the
cue with a Sledgehammer 2, and he is now saving up to get the OB break.

I'm selling other products but this cue has for sure turned some heads over
here (Norway), even if it's a very plain looking cue.
Personally, I look forward for those grip version since I get a "Meucci" feeling
with the all wrapless version, but good things comes to those who could wait ;)

As mentioned, locally this cue has turned some heads so try one at your local
OB Cues dealer and check out if you get the same experience as many of the players
over here have expressed .

Well Myrtle, the weight is adjustable!

we can go from 17.5 up to 20.5 pretty easy.

For those that will be at the APA starting later this week, look us up. We will have them there!

We also just put up the information and flyer on the website, www.obcues.com

Royce Bunnell

A couple of days ago I visited with Royce in his booth at the APA tournament and asked to see his new break cue. I broke with it about 6 times and after getting my crooked stroke straightened out I broke the balls farely well. The cue is great and I plan on getting one soon. I highly recommend it.

The first thing spike did was post a message on my facebook about it...as soon as I have the money I will be getting ahold of you about one, as well as the shaft for my Nova. If you also recall right after Morra let me break with his you were the first person i talked to because of how good your break is in comparrison to most of the players in our area, that being said I cant way to see how you hit them with one of these cues in your hands. Also every time break cues have come up in conversation I push the OB Break Cue because personally in my opinion the are unrivalled in technoledgy and their warranty and willingness to stand behind the quality of their product should speak the appropriate volume to sway buyers in their direction.

Well Royce I won a break cue from Ray "Bigtruck" through his raffle and I have to say I am exteremly excited about it. Its an 18 oz please! And I know ray told me there would be a little bit of a wait time, how long do you think the back orders are?

I hit up Spike (Mr. Pool) last night and tried his OB break. The table we were playing on is a tough-breaking table...but not last night! I only came up dry one time and I made 1-2 each break with a 3 thrown in too (out of 8-10 breaks).

I've owned a BK2 for quite a while so I can give some comparison there. The BK2 is thinner, heavier, and has a harder tip. Spike's OB has a tall (OEM) tip on it though so that may not be a fair comparison. Both are extremely forgiving, which is good for me since I don't always catch the CB flush. I would be happy breaking with either.
