Played with a semi-sneaky of his for about 5 years. I was pretty discouraged leading up to the purchase - had been spoiled rotten by a Scruggs SP, which I flat wore out, and had an $1,100 Schon which wasn't half the cue the Scruggs was. Decided to go inexpensive ($340, IIRC), and the Judd ended up being a great cue for the money. Good solid hit and everything, but the shaft warped after a couple of years. I know that could happen to any cue, so I didn't hold it against the cue maker. Ordered a new shaft from him and cracked the ferrule within a few months. No idea why it didn't last longer, but I just decided to retire the cue and move on. All in all it was a good experience, and I keep it in the bag for a backup.
