Hi all,
I have an original Jay Flowers case for sale today. It is in absolutely great shape for an old timer. The leather is still soft and supple. The case doesn't have any noteworthy scuffs, dings, tears, etc., just normal wear, which is very minimal. There is one (literally one) stitch that has come undone at the very upper corner of the little tapper pocket from taking the tapper in and out. The interior has a couple of very small chalk marks...almost unnoticeable in person.
It does have a name on the back, so if your name is Robert White, you're in luck. I got a kick out of it, since I'm a quail hunter that likes to hunt bobwhite quail! I think that most of the Flowers cases I've seen in the last few years have names on them, which can be covered up if you decide to personalize the case. I just think of them as part of the history of the case, like Palmer owner's names on the foil in the windows...
This case has the removable top that latches in the front and back, as opposed to the type with the side snaps. The top pocket is rounded, as well. I think if I remember correctly, these are some of Jay's earlier cases.
These don't come along very often anymore and when they do, they're usually not nearly this nice. I'm asking SOLD!!! shipped in the CONUS. I might consider a trade, but cash is king...
Thanks for looking!
Steve
