Hi This Palmer was just brought by , by a freind . Was in his freinds Dads Place . His Dad bought new , did not know the year . Cue is in Good or Better condition , as is never been restored . Cue rolls straight apart but have not rolled togather , no place right now to do that . Cue has 1 shaft wt . 4.4 , nice heavy shaft , has screw on tip and ferrel , and 3 extra tips and ferrels . All in good shape . Butt has Titlist points all look good except one tip look a little funney . I have picture of funney point . Butt weight 15.1 for a total of 19.5 , Palmer light weight . Hard case in O.K. shape , I never heard of maker Yanez, Made in U.S.A . 10 pictures to follow . Thanks Jim Wanting $800. OBO

Jim,

It's a 2nd catalog Model D with a Titlist forearm, around 1970 give or take. The case doesn't look like a Palmer.

The cue looks like a nice specimen.

Sir, that is just a great old cue. Such class, thanks for posting a real treat. I only wish I had the money.
 
Were screw on ferrules the thing in the past? Nowadays when you hear screw on ferrules you think of cues you can get at Sears or Walmart.
 
I'm not sure how many cue makers used them , I have seen several Palmer with screw on ferrels , have no idea the % of Palmers . I have only seen 3-4 with them . They are quality , not junk like you see today . Thanks Jim
