It was the way Keith said "the Mexicans" that made the hair on my neck stand up. Politically correct or not, I am sensitive to words such as this. I am going to try to find the video and share. A prominent, well-known pool journalist was in the room, and we were texting back and forth. I texted, "OMG, "the Mexicans," to which he replied words to the effect of it's okay, it wasn't mean offensive. Why is "Mexican" offensive? Aren't they from Mexico?
Is "American", "Russian", "Chinese" etc offensive? F DC and their political tyranny bullshit. It's only select countries where the DC losers lose their little minds, they would have no problem if Keith said Russians, etc.
Not attacking you, just that DC PC crap when it benefits the Washington scumbags
On a Window's Open podcast, M.M. and M.P. said the WNT is going to have "many more events" in the United States. In this regard, they were speaking about Jason Bergman expressing an interest in the upcoming Cup in Vegas and that he said he would play in more WNT events to earn those precious ranking points.I'm surprised anyone is going to even bother with the WNT this year.
What's the point if a captain is just going to pick his buddies?!
It effectively makes that tournament trail to try and get a spot, something that ONLY SUCKERS WOULD PARTAKE IN.![]()
You alight? You even read his message? Or just immediately lose your mind?WTF. You are clueless here. Quit spewing your moronic guesses. Archer actually grabbed up some of the 'up' money and said he'd catch him later. You do know Oscar was born IN California right?Congrats btw. You just became 2026's newest member on my Ignore list. Your crap isn't worth fading.
I would accept both teams get 5 straight from ranking points no matter what. Aside from that, I’d also entertain 3-4 on ranking points. No player captain. And the last 1-2 must be chosen via an in-person selection process (“tryouts”) from the next 4-6 on ranking points in a manner determined by the captain. Have them do drills and play off against each other. In an ideal world that could be multiple sessions but I’d be okay if it was its own singular televised “making the team” event.Personally, I think they should have four players selected on ranking points and one wildcard.
None of this is going to change the outcomes. Its like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. As long as US big table play continues to languish and with no real 'pipeline' of newcomers Euro's will be big fave's for the foreseeable future. It'll take a grassroots pool 'revolution' and even if that ever happened it takes time, 10-15yrs min.
We will stay underdogs for sure. I just like the idea of changing course via tens or hundreds of good ideas in the right direction. This would be just one. It incentivizes “hopefuls” to stay inside the process and not get disillusioned. That’s could in turn help those hopefuls find a modicum of extra motivation to improve. Maybe 200 more ideas like that and something can happen in the futureNone of this is going to change the outcomes. Its like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. I won lots of money In Joe's Mexican bar in Riverside, CA.There is absolutely nothing wrong with using the word "Mexicans" to describe... well, players from Mexico, lol.
Having played in southern California, Texas, and Arizona and having ended up playing a lot of "Mexicans," that's what you call them and there is nothing offensive about it, particularly to them. Los Mexicanos are, generally speaking, a very amiable and talented lot.
