Oh man that's funny as hell but true .
today was one of the best days I have had in a long time. Glen and Jackie showed up right on time and installed two smart tables in my local room here in Torrington..... It was fun to meet a fellow mech\tech who shares so many of the same goals and interests. Certainly it was of particular delight to watch someone else do the work for a change. Learned many new things today about tables, Glen and myself. We are much the same. Yes we do argue but as a result of that I think our meeting went even better. Naturally he has my respect now more then before.
To view his glue method I set up a GC in my warehouse( thats mech talk for garage). After reviewing this process I found it to be superior and will be doing them this way in the future without question. Of course it will probably have an OTLB twist to it somewhere as you can imagine. There are some things within the stretch pattern that are extremely appealing and address some issues that I have had a problem with in the past. All in all I say that after you have mastered this method you will be levels above most guys.
All the time in this forum I have only proposed different ways of getting the job done. To continue this mindset is why I wanted to spend time with Glen which resulted in many positive footnotes. The future is bright only when you have goals and are able to work towards them. Its nice to see a fellow American display the qualities that made this country what it use to be. We should all strive to that same end.
Certainly it will not be our last meeting and consider him more of a friend now. There is never enough time when you meet someone you like so I look forward to seeing him again. Maybe I will be spraying down my glue with an air gun, who knows but I must one up him and wait for the return volley. Remember if it isn't fun why are you doing it anyways. Its always fun when you know what to do or know you can count on someone to help. The road of a pool table mech isn't one that many people can I understand or appreciate. To me, I don't know how it could get much better.
Write a job description for what we do and after you realize the job you have its not hard to understand how great it really is. BOY, I love this work.
