Outsville Ki-Tech Single Layered Tips

Japan here. Not worried about shipping costs, wouldn't bother me even if shipping cost more than the tips themselves.

PM me an address and I will check Customs and shipping tomorrow.... I don't mind the forms I just hate to see costs skyrocket regardless of my bias about our products....

I have sent numerous PMs and emails to the website, and not 1 reply.
I can't even get a few tips to try on back to back testing ,let alone try and sell them to people out here.
Like I said earlier, if the chalk is better than what Kamui make, then I will try it. But if it is not equal to the world's best, no point in trying it then.
It is only a few dollars to ship a few tips over sea's with the US postal service.

Neil,

I apologize if you feel that you were singled out in this whole thing and ignored... I recall at least 2 inquiries that I had no response for... It is all on me tho for not replying to you and giving you a heads up on where I am on worldwide shipping... just shipping to Canada for our samplers cuts my margins in half and shipping to europe at this point has cost me money every single time as they always lose the package and I end up shipping product 2-3-4 times depending on where they are to keep them happy... Last shipment to Poland took 5x to get to the customer....

No offense but as long as it continues to work that way I can't ship overseas... it's really not anyone's fault but I can't afford it based on my experiences... Now I could have been hoodwinked by being enticed to ship without tracking with the onus on me if they didn't get there but 15 tips to poland to cover a sampler left me thinking I don't need to ship worldwide....

Hey Chris,

I sent 3-4 pms and haven't heard from you. I guess the best way to hear back is to post here. I was inquiring about being a dealer for your tips for up in my area in PA. I have a few guys liking them already. Also, what would be the best substance to use to burnish ur tips? I'm really picky about having nice and shiny burnished sides. I feel like I have a better and crisper hit that way. I've used spit and tiger tip stuff. It works, but only for a little bit of time and then they get a little fuzzy and not shiny anymore on the sides.
Well thanks for the info in advance and still looking forward to the break tips and now the chalk!
Thanks,
Tim

I installed for my friend's cue shaft and used Tip Touch. I don't achieve a shiny outlook but it looks good enough imo.

Hey Tim,

I have several hard coat formulas sitting here that need to be tested... I figured coming up with a burnishing liquid was going to be easy... Well not so much... The best I have seen them look is with a linseed oil/superglue burnish similar to how they actually use it as a finish on cues....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I-FXOsMR2tY

As most installers likely won't want to go thru that I will see if I can get some tests in to see if anything I have is going to end up working... I am unfamiliar with the tip touch so I may look around and get some of it to try..

As far as dealership in PA.... I have quantity breaks in place for installers but have not thought about setting up a dealer network aside from possibly in countries overseas where there will be better shipping prices and faster deliveries.... It is food for thought tho and I will start thinking about it....

I have yet to contact any of the supply houses like Muellers or Pool Dawg and at this point and don't think I will be doing that until I get to the point that Outsville grows a bit more.. Muellers contacted me early on and I sent some pricing but at very large order points which to me was the only way I wanted to be just another tip/rack template in a catalog .. Call it hard headed but I would like to be a bit more standalone... I know that's not the business model that other companies have taken but I like to be involved in the sales process and be able to handle issues personally as they pop up...

I still need to work on my communications as Neil and yourself have pointed out and hopefully as we grow I won't be wearing so many different hats... Completing projects will free up some time and my consulting business is seasonal these days with the 1st and 4th Quarters being the busy times of year... Timberline Software and Audits usually leave me alone May-October....

I'll make sure and get my phone number up on the website so there is another way to get in touch with me.. Pinky already read me the riot act over it not being easily found......

I know they apply Linseed oil to snooker cues. But honestly, the outcome ain't as shiny as it looks though.

Didn't watch the tip burnished with linseed and superglue but it was pretty shiny in it's final state.... Another trick apparently is to sacrifice a new razor blade to the Ki-Tech.... local installer made the comment my tips were costing him a razor blade per install... Suckers are tough......

Isn't it suppose to work that way?

I help some friends install tips and per tip its a razor blade each. Sometimes depends, 1 razor blade could do 2 if not its always 1 per tip.

Anyone try one of the new outsville break tips in comparison to a samsara? what are your thoughts? I'm sure they are nice but I'm not displeased with my samsara; just wondering if I should get one being that I'm so impressed with the regular tips. Thanks Ed

If I wouldn't use it I won't sell it.... Saying that I'd use the one we have in R&D but I am not convinced I can't come with something even better.... Until then Jaden with On Target Tips has a synthetic that is better than the samsara but doesn't have the control issues as phenolic or g10.....

I am almost thru the chalk hell so I will be back on the "Solids" as soon as I am able..... The leather I have right now I can get to a 90 durometer but I am 9 points behind the phenolic of the same hardness in energy transfer... I want that gap narrowed to sayyyyy 5 LOL I have 2-3 more changes to try before I give in and say I have gone as far as I can go using leather....

Chris

Thanks for the information. I'll have to try the linseed oil and definitely let me know about the hard formula stuff and the break tips and chalk. I'm interested in it all. You have some good products for sure.
Thanks again,
Tim

I have seen some use saliva only and they're able to get a really nice shine. For me, as long its dark and has abit of glow, its good enough. Where as Tip Touch is able to achieve that for me.

I doubt using boiled linseed oil and thin CA is able to achieve that shine on leather though. Do correct me if I'm wrong. And also, it seems like too much hassle. :(

Just like this user here, this is his burnished sides. Seems very nicely done to me for a blue tip to be total black.

OK... I think we are caught up... IF you are missing anything please let me know.. we had a snafu on a handful of orders last week but I think I have heard from all but 1 of the orders that were miss filled.......

Yes Randy and Travis I know I owe you both something... With luck those ship as soon as the full mock ups are ready......

Chris,

Saw you mentioning in another thread that your cue stroke determines what tip hardness you should use.

I always fall short on most shots and I'm on (S). This means I should move on to M?

I'm the soft stroke kind of player. I don't have very strong cue power. :(

If I was consistently falling short I would likely move up to the Medium... IF the Medium doesn't feel right even tho it solves the short issue I would recommend..... Trying another manufacturer's soft...

Yeah I know I shouldn't recommend trying someone elses tips but I'd rather you find the right tip for you than beat my own drum.... At least for now...

Our Soft, Medium and Hard are all set in stone and I won't be changing them up going forward.... however... I have been playing with the idea of 2nd version of the soft that has higher energy transfer... Right now there is about 10% difference between the soft and medium Ki-Tech I may add a medium/soft that will sit between the 2 current versions..

I had been considering this mainly because I knew the test results and had been thinking that that was a pretty big gap and I have learned some new tricks while chasing the break tip... I'll start a sample batch this weekend and see if I can't up the energy 4-5 points......
