Does anyone know of a tournament, league or just a cool place to play in or around the York Pennsylvania area? I’ve just moved into the area about 8 months ago and I’m truly struggling. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Andy
I am not from Pennsylvania, but I do know that the Blaze Tour has some events in Pennsylvania. You can check out the listings in the Tournament Section of this forum.
Also, the TAP league seems to be popular in Pennsylvania. I have attended a charity event hosted at the Moose Club in Carlisle, PA, and it was EXCELLENT. The TAP league operators run this charity event which is an annual happening, and they call themselves "Billiards for Benefits."
Pool folk from around the region flock to Carlisle and have themselves a ball! It would be a good place to network and meet other pool folk in Pennsylvania too.
Matter of fact, the next Billiards for Benefits just happens to be right around the corner on February 2nd and 3rd at The Hotel Carlisle, 1700 Harrisonburg Pike, Carlisle, PA.
It is a charity event for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
All ages welcome. Door prizes and raffles, cash prizes and awards.
Friday, February 2nd, starting at 6:00 p.m., there will be a Mixed Doubles Scotch Tourmament, open to the first 16 teams. Pre-registration suggested, and the entry fee is $20 per team.
Saturday, February 3rd, there will be an 8-ball tournament and a silent auction. The play starts at 10:00 a.m.
There will be three divisions:
Men's Division, $30 entry fee, $500 to winner based on 64-man field.
Women's Division, $30 entry fee, $300 to the winner, based on 32-woman field.
Junior Division, 15 years and under, $10 entry fee.
Contact Tracee at (717) 226-1569 or Lisa at (717) 226-3597.
I have a flyer for this upcoming event, February 2nd, and 3rd, but I have no idea how to post it on this forum. It is an Adobe Reader file.
These are good people who run the Billiards of Benefits. If you decide to make the trek, you will not be sorry. It is a fun, fun, fun time! Matter of fact, you just might see me there this year. I had a blast the last time I went!
