Jay, you continue to impress me. Sometimes your candor on the forum and in person can set one back on their heels but it is apparent that your "Let the chips fall where they may" attitude will endear many readers in your forthcoming book, including myself.

Is there a new timeline associated with its expected completion?

Thanks Joey. I am a little too old to worry about the consequences of telling the truth as I see it. I DO have the courage of my convictions, but will keep an open mind to divergent opinions.

The timeline remains the end of this year. Progress is being made. If I could somehow spend as much time on the book as I do on here, it would be done in a month.

I have all the material I need (outlined already) and then some.

Well, take into account that despite Earl's behavior as of late, he's one of the best 9 ball players to ever come from the states. No matter what, you can't take that away from him.

I can honestly say, it was the best pool investment I ever made!! I booked 2 hours and he gave me 3. The info was top notch, and he was very patient.

Oh yeah, the week after the lesson...I finished second in a tournament. Best finish prior was 8th.

He is giving his knowledge up for free at that price. I am sure he can teach you a lot.

My rates are $30 per session... for out of town guests I have an extra room you can use to save on hotel costs... like Fast Eddie said... "You find someone with a better deal than that, you come back and we'll talk."

With my rates at $30 a session, I think Earl at $75 an hour is a STEAL!

For about thousand bucks (maybe two thousand) you can get great pool instruction from a 5 TIME WORLD CHAMPION and you get to play golf! (??? WoW !!!!)

Earl is a great guy to hang out with - trust me on that - He's not going to be throwing cue balls at you or screaming at you like Chef Gordon Ramsay - so if you are willing to learn from one of the best in the history of pool - this is one hell of an opportunity.

Fleece, thanks for posting this clip from your lesson with Earl Strickland. This shows me exactly what I hoped to see. Earl not only has the knowledge, talent and patience that is required but he can communicate all of that to the student.

In the future, I will be getting some personal pool instruction from Earl somewhere somehow.

The closest that I will get to him is probably Atlanta, GA in November.

He probably shouldn't be giving pool lessons at DCC. Just too much congestion there. Well maybe I should rephrase that: Maybe he should be giving the old school pool lessons at DCC.
