Many people and other pool related sites show their support and hope that Manny will make it right, none of them blame him for the error of people he entrusted.

The only player I know that openly complained on FB is Rodney Morris.( AZB Article said some players did post on FB )
The only place that shows no support for Manny is AZB Forum.

What a coincidence both are made in USA...

I don't think and I hope they won't cause any damage because ,to be honest, over there in the EAST who give a s***t what some random American guys said. And they sure will not give a s***t if the next tourney no Americans show up, there were only 2 or 3 in this one anyway. And finally, did Rodney Morris got banned somewhere for not knowing how to keep his mouth shut ?

Do you speak German, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic? Let me know when you have read all of those billiard outlets in the foreign countries and players Facebook pages and can confirm that only in the USA did anyone complain.

A huge shopping mall in a country where pool is popular is a great idea. Easy access, easy view ability. Better than some Indian Casino or a second rate Vegas.

I'll let the USGA know to consider Central Park as a site for next year's US Open. They just need to put 18 holes in the ground and they can have their event.

I'll bet more people attended, or t least a stopped to check out, the MP event than the U.S. Open last year.

Daniel Orton, a former University of Kentucky and NBA basketball player, has been released from his latest team in the Philippines after "insulting" the basketball legitimacy of one Manny Pacquiao, boxing superstar, Congressman, karaoke idol, and occasionally "professional basketball player."

Orton called Pacquiao's basketball career "a joke," which it is, but that not only insults Pacquiao, who is celebrity royalty in the country, but the league's standards, too, as it sort of admits that Pacquiao plays just because he wants to, which is pretty much the case and all, but nobody wants to go around admitting it.

This is how one official saw it:

"Everyone is angry at him... it is like he went to the United States and insulted the name of Martin Luther King," the ABS-CBN news website quoted [team administrator Rene] Pardo as saying.

Orton, 24, played one season at Kentucky in 2010-11, and had bit roles with the Magic, Thunder, and 76ers over three seasons in the NBA, where he was last with the Washington Wizards as part of their summer league team. He was released in October, and played briefly in China with the Sichuan Blue Whales before joining the PBA earlier this month.

Orton was diplomatic on Twitter about his release:

I thank God for my time in the Philippines and thank Purefoods for everything. I wish the team the best of luck this conference!! God Bless!

You see it is sour grapes. If Shane plays or wins, it will be ordained as world class best event regardless of whether he is playing in Kalahari desert v Bushmen or on iceberg tables in North Pole v Eskimos or in casino 7foot BB v field of mostly non-pros. 2 sets of rules - one for Shane and one for others.

This probably just Manny and his handlers doing this. Manny is too busy to organize something like this. Also, it could be a difference of culture, while the tournament was held at a mall, it can be prestigious to the people there.
